- VOLTA FOOTBALL — For the first time on Steam, FIFA 21 presents: VOLTA FOOTBALL, a game mode that strips football back to its core. Experience the soul of the streets together with friends as you create your Avatar with the freshest gear and show off your style in over 20 football playgrounds around the world throughout various forms of small-sided football. We created VOLTA SQUADS so you can experience a more social street football experience, joining together with up to 3 friends or dropping into the community with other VOLTA FOOTBALL players.
- FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) — Join the most popular mode in FIFA, where you can build your dream squad of players past and present. For the first time, we’ve introduced FUT Co-Op, a new way to team up with a friend online and compete for rewards. Join forces in both Division Rivals and Squad Battles to earn weekly progress, and work towards brand new Co-Op Objectives that reward playing together beyond winning on the pitch. Choose sights, seats, sounds, and more as you build your dream stadium. Pack the seats, pick some epic Tifos, and grow your home ground on the way to the global stage.
- Career Mode — Manage every moment in FIFA 21 Career Mode with new additions that create more depth in matches, transfers, and training. Manage your team in licensed versions of the world’s biggest competitions — including the UEFA Champions League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Premier League, LaLiga Santander, and Bundesliga — as you take your team to the top.
- House Rules — House Rules are back in FIFA 21. The premise of House Rules is simple. You can play matches that follow a different set of rules or even no rules at all. This creates space to have fun in between your serious matches. It's also a good way to introduce friends and new players to FIFA 21, allowing them to get comfortable with The World’s Game. With exciting play modes like Survival and No Rules, there is something for everybody to play.

If we are going to be completely honest about FIFA 21, it is the textbook definition of a love-hate relationship. Bringing the franchise back to the Steam platform was a huge deal for PC players, but EA managed to leave a very bitter taste in the community's mouth almost immediately. Let us address the elephant in the room that caused the massive wave of negative reviews: the PC version of FIFA 21 was a direct port of the older generation consoles. PC players were completely denied the next-gen graphics, animations, and engine upgrades that the PS5 and Xbox Series X received. Paying full price for what was essentially an outdated version of the game felt like a massive slap in the face to a community with high-end hardware. On the pitch, the gameplay is incredibly polarizing. If you love high-scoring, fast-paced chaotic games, you might actually enjoy this. The attacking AI is aggressive, and attackers make smart, creative runs. However, the defending is practically non-existent. Defenders often feel like they are ice skating, tackles bounce right back to the attackers, and the midfield frequently just stands around watching the action. 5 year old game and a portion of it is not available because EA refuses to fund support for their game servers and decide to gatekeep a portion of the game behind online access. Absolutely insane.
This version of fifa introduced a brand new mechanic. Disconnection. Anyone that has a minor bump in their network will lose connection. Pretty simple, right? Who wouldn't want this mechanic. *Was the worse fifa to try & play with friends. Proved how solid you or others connections was tho.* kekw

so ♥♥♥♥, was playing my heart out in this game until my entire career just glitches. I CANT EVEN RUN ANYMORE, MY STUPID ASS CHARACTER JUST JOGS, then gets the ball AND LOSES IT, jogs more, loses ball, to the point where its unplayable now, i cant even do anything, I cant keep up with the speed of the play BECAUSE ALL I CAN DO IS GO FOR A LIGHT JOG. And before brainlets say "its the controllerrrr durrrrr" its not, my controller is fine. Unfortunately this game WAS good, for about 3 hours, then it glitched permanently and its ♥♥♥♥.
