EA SPORTS College Football 27 frustrates players with poor passing mechanics, frequent crashes that force game replays, and limited base content, though the modding community on PC has significantly improved the experience for those willing to customize it. Players criticize aggressive AI receiver interceptions, mid-game crashes without save features, and aggressive monetization in offline modes, though some find it worthwhile on sale or when modded extensively on PC.
What can I say about CF 27? It's honestly not great from my limited experiences. I bought this, my first football game in 5 years, because I've gotten really into college football again and wanted to give this a go. I played RTG as a QB and immediately found myself unimpressed and downright frustrated. Besides the bench riding simulation (which I get is part of the game for better schools), passing mechanics are just awful. Receivers are non static players, staying in one place waiting to get sniped for interceptions even when no one was around them originally. Receivers on the run have a high propensity of getting intercepted if there's a CB anywhere in the pass line, even if they're 20 yards away and you lob it over their head. Your receivers have no ball handling ability, so if they aren't secure for 5 seconds, automatic pass incompletion drop. The gameplay doesn't even feel dynamic with pass mechanics, it seems geared up to say "passing offenses are a waste of time" regardless of the defensive skill of the other team. Hell, your O-Line can't even block for anything, even with a 92 overall defense. I'll admit I've never been great at Madden of NCAA, but I've never thrown 5 int…1 found this helpful
Constant bugs and crashes
Have a decent amount of hours on the game and usually now, if I play more than 2-3 games in dynasty the game will just crash in the second half then you have to replay the whole game. If there was a save feature halfway through the game I would just deal with it and relaunch the game. I don't understand how EA can keep producing garbage games year after year and not learn from their mistakes.
S****y of EA to try adding micro transactions into offline game modes. Base game is not that great. Lacking content honestly. The modding community has saved this game and has made it even better and a joy to play. Thank you to all modders for all the work you guys have done. This game is only enjoyable because of you guys! ONLY recommending because of the modding community!!!!

Honestly, one of the better college football games released since 25. I do believe its worth it on pc once you begin to look to add plugins and mods.
