Dragon Song Tavern: Cozy & Adventurous

Does not have couch co-op, so makes a poor choice for playing with kids, which is why I initially looked into the game. Purchased one copy to try out gameplay to see if worth paying for two. Found it definetly wasn't. I like the games concept, but issues with bugs, including preventing proper quest prevention, leave it performing poorly in comparison to other games of the genre. Both for single and multiplayer other titles are preferable, and I wouldn't recommend this game.

The time I spent on the game has been as follow: 1. Decorating my character 2. Figuring out how to send a co-op invite 3. Have them join and get kicked out multiple times 4. When they manage to stay in the server for a longer while after 3+ retries, try to figure out what to do in the game. 5. Find out on the internet that there is no co-op guidance and the game is better solo, then log back out. If I ever have more hours after this review, it will be to test out solo gameplay, but until I get the motivation to retry this game again, I will be playing games from other game developers who put more thought into how co-op SHOULD look and feel like for the players involved. This game feels like they just slapped on co-op and paid no mind to the gaming experience just so they could profit over two people purchasing the game rather than one.

Got this game during the summer sales event (2026 for those who may care). Have not been able to put it down since getting it! Love the warm, cozy vibes this game gives off. The art style is beautiful and gives a pop up story book feel, which is just cute as hell. The music is gentle and relaxing. The cooking experiment (puzzle if you will) is creative. Nothing is that challenging (for as far as I am in the game so far) at the moment, but I love that in games sometimes. Nice and chill. I have nothing but good things to say about this game and hope to see it expanded upon in the future! I really do hope they update the game and keep adding new and exciting content~

Bought it for something cozy to zone out to after work. Expected to play like 30 mins or so. Accidentally blinked and almost 4 hours went by. I can definitely say I like this. Game has lots of QoL like not needing to repair tools, refill watering cans (it's a wand that does a grid off the bat), harvesting you don't need to click to pick anything up once you shake a tree, etc. It's all really seamless and nice. The art style is ADORABLE, both from the really cute character customization to the 2D art as you run around the world. It's a really cozy blend of both. The gameplay loop is really fun so far. Collect things, check out the market, cook with some mini games, open your restaurant to serve people, and do it again. I'm also really enjoying the story so far. The dialogue is charming and hilarious. I will say, I bought this with the intention of playing solo and can easily give it a great review there. It's exactly what I was hoping for. I did notice if I play for a while I start getting some crunchy camera movements, but it only happened about 3 hours in and I just closed my game and it was fine when I opened it again.
