Three Kingdoms: The Blood Moon

It was surprisingly good Slay The Spire clone. It has good balance, same 3 big levels as StS, events to spice your life. No powers, just attacks, defense cards and some odd cards. Still, I have enjoyed it so far and did not notice how I lost 2 hours already. I will probably beat it with all characters and call it quits. Maybe if there is big update later I will come back. 8/10, StS enjoyers should play with this one around.

I play a lot of deck builders and this is one of my favorites among Monster Train, Slay the Spire, and others. I wouldn't have said that when I first started playing, but I've found that it has just the right level of difficulty, variety, and complexity to keep bringing me back for another casual run. I don't normally try to 100% a game, but I can see myself doing that with Three Kingdoms. In 58 hours I've run 3 of the characters through a win on Blood Moon (ascension) 5, and beaten the whole game (through Blood Moon / ascension 10) with the the 4th, Jiang Wei. Along the way I've unlocked 56% of the achievements, and am thinking about whittling down the rest. They mostly look interesting and / or challenging without falling into the common, and to my mind lazy, practice of neutering key mechanics or forcing a pointless grind.

I like this game a lot. i like the art style and its fast to pick up and play. 4 Chars, each with unique cards and mechanics. I think its a steal.
