Dewdrop

dew drop is a ton of fun, its a game that makes music production not only way more accessible, but also a ton of fun. i love the sandbox making beats and trying out different loops and sounds, but where the game really shines is in the puzzles. they start out easy while you get the hang of the game, but the challenge level really goes up as you progress, and you end up making really unique tunes while solving puzzles! all in all, this is a great game concept, with amazing execution.

The puzzle part should not take long at all to finish, just kinda wish there wasn't an ink limit so you can place more than dots half the time without worrying about running out halfway through. But the ink type requirements for each puzzle does usually result in a nice sounding beat by the time you complete them. However, the sandbox once you unlock everything is really nice to play around with. It has a very surprising amount of customization in it. Scale, reverb, warping, sliders for each instrument's volume and octaves, and more. My favorite singular moment was being silly and setting the red/orange leaf clap to -3 octave with volume maxed when fiddling with it after making a basic track, song got overwritten by sudden gunfire.

This game is so fun! I don't have much experience making music, but I love how satisfying both the puzzle and sandbox modes are. You can just mess around and place vines and see what kind of beat it makes. The puzzles are fun but challenging and make you think in new ways. I love the mushroom sounds, those are my favorite! It's fun to see how the obstacles in puzzle mode play into what kind of tune is formed as you solve it. Overall, super fun game that I know I'm going to sink many more hours into.

Such a vibe, Some of the early puzzles might seem a bit easy but it's to gear you up for what's to come in the later ones. Makes you really think with the added bonus of making sick beats. I have no experience making music yet I'm still able to make some fun tunes. I helped test the game and would always just hop into whatever version I had to mess around in the sandbox, plus there are so many new sounds to play with since I tested I cant wait to play more. It scratches that part of your brain that enjoys music and puzzles 10/10.
