About Lunar Drifter

Lunar Drifter is an arcade first person shooter heavily inspired by The Mercenaries minigame from the Resident Evil series. Tear apart the highest amount of enemies possible while running and gunning to keep yourself alive, while finding clocks and hourglasses to give yourself precious extra seconds and make the most of your limited time.
 • Be the ultimate legion killer. Aim precisely, move fast, heal up, and do not let the combo break!
 • Each of the 4 playable characters have their own unique play style. Engage at long range with snipers, run and gun with pistols and smgs, or face the enemy in close quarters with sledgehammers and shotguns.
 • As you progress through the chaos, more dangerous it will be, the enemies will get all kinds of backup varying from infantry, choppers, tanks, and even the undead.

FEATURING:

 • 4 different playable characters with their own gimmicks and arsenal.
 • +10 unique hand-crafted levels, from Greek Temples, Moroccan castles, to the Moon.
 • Arcade mode, free play and endless mode.
 • Loadout customization, offering different weapons and variants.
 • Leaderboards, to compete with the best of the best or challenge your friends' scores.
 • Online co-op up to 4 players, experience the chaos with friends!
 • Lots of customization options, including crosshairs, viewmodel positioning, and much more!
 • Full controller support with aim assist and input rebindings.

Lunar Drifter is a Shooter Arcade that brings you back to RE4 Mercenaries and old-school console game feelings and experiences. This all mixed with Chaos, Frenetism, working Leaderboards and the good ol' feeling of unlocking things while you play it. Best game ever, try it.

i got bored in less than a half hour, here is my bullet point review. - while it's clear some love has been put into the character/OC designs and such, the game design here is very lacking. - i started the game with Krys and aside from the 2 guns they start with, there really isn't anything dynamic, engaging, or otherwise fun about the gunplay - the enemy hit reactions are good, it feels fun to shoot them - the game spawns the same enemies in the same spots on a rotation and they have stormtrooper aim so you never really feel like you're in any danger, even if you stand right in front of them - the music is good, reminds me of Machine Girl & the Neon White soundtrack - the character selection art is poor, and not at all close to how the UI portraits or marketing banners suggest - reloading animations for the revolver and SMG seem like they were lifted from another game or asset pack, they feel extremely clunky and don't seem to align (speed & style-wise) with the vibe of the game - UI is slick when it works right, love the comic anime styling and it's what initially drew me into the game i wasn't expecting a magnum opus here, but what is here doesn't really seem to be b…

This game is awesome, the gun-play feels nice, the movement feels great (for the most part), and I personally love the gameplay loop. This genre is kinda new to me but so far I've been enjoying it. Just finished my first run and there are a few things that I think could be improved (Some spoilers to the story blocked by the spoiler text formatting*):

The ledge climbing mechanic is a hit or miss, it feels a bit janky sometimes when you try to climb something (e.g. rooftops when you use the jump pads etc).
There is a particular stage where I think a lot of players will experience some motion sickness.
The stage that I'm refering to is the elevator stage when you reach the moon. The moving backdrop of the elevator going up will make some players motion sick especially when trying to find the stage time extenders (both the ones you pick up and especially the ones where you have to shoot from the ceiling/wall)
. A motion-sick mode would probably help the game be more accessible to some players (e.g.
Making the force field wall for the elevator more opaque or enclosing it completely

There are some missing textures (probs only on linux…
