New York Mysteries: High Voltage Collector's Edition

The scientist on the cover (your Library Game Cover that is) could've sold the game alone. He is hot and I played the game... Hoping he would be like a side NPC that you come and talk to a few times. NAH. He is just an NPC... You see him at the end of the Main Story.......... Help him and............. The game is over by then. SNIFF. Oh the game. Well, I liked the first one and this one... Yeah... This one was alright too. Except the "mechanical" parts... I had no idea wth I was putting together. The story. Okay hm... The first one had a unique twist and in the second one... You just uh... Well, stop the bad guy. There are inconsistencies in some parts that would need answers to... But this is a H.O.G. It's normal. I don't really have anything to pick on. It works fine and it didn't piss me off. It has mini-games you can solve and you don't have a list of "H.O." objects to find... But rather a "silhouette list" of objects and you have to use them correctly. So basically if you played the first game, it's like that. Yeah uh... I still like these. Alright. Moving on. Woop woop.

I would not recommend this game. I found it to long to play. The chandelier game does not work even in the past and it still doesn't now; so therefore I had to forfit my achievement. The dark silhouette hidden objects were difficult to find let alone to try not to click to much; no achievement there either. : { The characters in the game were nicely done and so was the story. I enjoyed watching the video's again nicely done..

Second time I play this one. Very good game. Recommended.

Having recently played some of the older Mystery Case Files titles — still among the very best the genre has ever produced, with their complexity, richness, and deep sense of immersion — this game (and this series, this being my second entry) doesn’t quite reach that legendary level… but it comes surprisingly close. It may not have the same depth or intricate puzzle design, but it stands as a solid, well-crafted follow-up in the same spirit, proving that good games in this genre can still be made in our modern era of fast-food, flavorless releases. A fun, engaging mystery adventure that deserves to be played. A solid 7.5/10.

More of FIVE BN's greatness right here. One of my only criticisms is that the Chinatown hidden object scene is very pointless.

A well organized mystery/puzzle game with a more interesting storyline than usual for this genre. I appreciate the maps with quick transportation to where you need to be, as well as indications of where something needs to be accomplished. This is much more efficient than having to take a ton of notes. Fun puzzles and colorful, interesting locations.
