First question: What did you do to Laura? Is this her new "update" and a more modern look? I rather liked the beautiful woman she was in the previous games! This one looks like an elite teenager. D: Second question........... WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED TO WILL?! He was such an adorable scientist! Now I am SCARED to look at his FACE!!! And to rub it in... They actually made him appear more on the screen. BRRRRR!!! Well, if only that mattered, I would've been solely disappointed. But I am not. The game was... Alright. It had a different feel from the other ones. They tried different things. That's fine to do... As long as you don't mess it up too badly. Apart from those two changes listed... I can't complain. I've played worse. I've played better. This one is more in the neutral territory. I rather liked the previous series far better. But oh well. I don't think I know of a single H.O.G. series that makes only "spectacular" games. So I am just mild. (Also... That bespectacled man in the Bonus Game? He looks like A TURTLE!!! His head is far smaller than his body/clothing. Lmao.)2 found this helpful
As usual, this entry in the New York Mysteries saga by Five-BN delivers one very well-polished, entertaining, and well-designed hidden-object-esque point & click adventure game. Their work is definitely up there at the top of the list of best modern HO games. HO scenes are more like puzzles, the story is engaging, with great animations and voice-acting, soundtrack, and all the usual modern additions (well-designed clues, mini-games, HO scenes, and stuff, all of which you can access later from the Extras menu; straightforward achievements, and those tied to completing specific mini-games and puzzles can all be completed afterwards from said menu; and lots of extras, including a whole logic-puzzle game with 20 levels, a jigsaw game, and additional hidden objects in every regular scene throughout the game). My only gripe with this entry is that one achievement failed to drop when it should have (the "Skilled" one), and so I had to (very quickly) replay the game up to that point with a new profile to get it. But it wasn't that hard, I've seen way worse in this genre. I definitely recommend this game and every other entry of this saga (and probably every other game from these devs).
This is one of the best games you've made yet
A relaxing series where you're not being chased, shot at or can die at any moment. Find clues, solve puzzles and complete tasks....sometimes that's a nice diversion.
This is a very good game. I played for 8 1/2 hrs. Enjoyed it very much!
Great Game.
