About IDIOTIC (The Game)

IDIOTIC is a fast-paced single-player FPS where you can switch between alternate dimensions at will. Wreak chaos and improve your character as you move at break-neck speed.

------

Switch between alternate dimensions at will

As you are torn between the fractures of reality, you can switch between The Top and The Alt.
The Top has your “normal” reality with flying, deadly robots, and people in suits trying to kill you, but also has the rewards and objectives. The Alt is a darker, deadlier version of the top with corrupted zombies and the Neon Stringler trying to kill you, but you can regain health and reposition from The Top there. Use them both to achieve your goals.

Wallrun, double jump and slide around in procedural levels

Every game mode requires the need to use your advanced movement and your dimension switching abilities. Raid the ever-changing city and cause chaos. But if you're not fast enough, you'll find chaos upon you too!

Use either a gun or a melee weapon

Each are fit for a different playstyle, with their own Temporary Boosts you can find across the map. Bonk/shoot your enemies to death!

Buy permanent boosts with the coins you find

In every combat game mode you can find coins as a reward, either for your speed or ability to survive long enough. Use them to buy permanent boosts and improve your chances of survival.

To summarize, IDIOTIC has:

  • Alternate dimensions (only one is called The Alt though)
  • Stupid Weapons
  • Fun movement
  • High pace
  • Low IQ

Made by a noob solo developer that tries his hardest.

I'll preface this entire review by saying this. This game is fun. It has a core loop that is genuinely fun, and has a lot of potential to grow and evolve. I'm eagerly following the development of this game and I really hope to see it grow into something great. But at this current moment, even while on sale, it's not anywhere close to being worth the money being asked for. The game only has two real pieces of enjoyable repeatable content: Arenas and Destruction. Arenas, while fun, lacks variety. I don't mean that map variety is particularly bad, but the gamemode itself lacks variety. Outside of upgrading yourself mid-match, there's very little to do. There's no shakeup in gameplay like modifiers (lower gravity, only explosive enemies, etc.) and the lack of enemy variety only further amplifies problems with the mode. It's by no means a poorly made mode, it just lacks the spice that it needs to remain interesting. Destruction is the mode with by far the most potential. Procedurally crafted levels that involve arenas separated by gauntlets of parkour is actually a good concept, and this is the only the mode that shows by far the most progress. The parkour sections have parts the acti…

I don't usually touch singleplayer games but this is a really fun game. I like the combination of fast mechanics and decent gunplay but the game is definitely lacking in content. Obviously, since I think this is from a single dev, that's not a valid complaint so other than that, I don't have anything negative to say about this game. It's fast, fun, replayable and fun to learn, and would do really well with a multiplayer imo. Can't wait to see if there are more updates in the future!

Do you like fast shooters? Do you like wall-jumping your way to the nearest McDonalds? Do you like it when you feel that somebody is looking at you but you turn around and nothing is there?? Well, then this game is just for you! IDIOTIC: The game is.... well... a game! and not just any game! It's a fast paced fps shooter that really makes you question why are you still sitting in your chair and not b-hopping in real life! Enjoy the fast paced action as you move through enemies at Mach 5 and leave behind a trail of chaos in the Destruction mode or if you want, you can also try to yknow, just keep falling at the same place over and over again. And that's not all, there are tons (three....) of modes to choose from. Experiment with different weapons and boosts to suit your playstyle. Increase your chaos score to level up and guess what?? Unlock more levels to play!! So what are you waiting for??? Buy it on Steam NOW or... well, I can't do much but buy it pls. It's a really good game and I know the dev who made this, he's a really nice guy and works really hard. It would mean a lot to me and wayy more to him if you gave it a try. There is a DEMO available on Steam.
