About NAMELESS
WARNING CONTAINS FLASHING IMAGERY, HEAVY TOPICS SUCH AS MENTAL ILLNESS AND DISTURBING CONTENT. USER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
With my mind broken, the emotional mania is jarring. With my memory fragmented, I fear piecing together the truth. With the choices I'm given, what was once black and white is now gray. But in the midst of it all, surely I can change.
A Psychological Top-Down Shooter where you don't have to kill everyone. Utilize a mix of Action-stealth game play, turn invisible and outsmart your enemies. The story of a Terrorist who is given a second chance to redeem himself.
Fast paced, Tight and responsive game-play - Taking out enemies feels punchy, satisfying and immediate.
Quirky, charming and outright bizarre dialogue - Interact with in-game characters that have dialogue inspired by Earthbound/Mother Series.
Dynamic and Bumping soundtrack - A huge soundtrack with unique music changes as you play.
Pretty Pixel art - A game created with a deliberate and distinct pixel art animation style.
Free-form Stealth-Action - Go in guns blazing, or turn invisible and take out your enemies strategically or utilize a mix of both.
A mysterious event - Uncover the truth of this terrorist attack and the motives behind the people you're hunting down.
Dynamic gun-play - A wide variance of weapons to utilize, almost every single weapon in the game plays differently than the other.
What will you choose? - You decide who lives and who rightfully deserves to die. A shooter that doesn't just involve killing people...
...
A video game created by a single person with love.
I hope you enjoy my game.

Yes, this game *is* a hidden gem. Fun gameplay with a story that does keep you gripped through the entirety of it, don't let simple graphics fool you or sway you. Lots of different weapons and playstyles to try out.1 found this helpful
Some of the most satisfying core gameplay I've experienced in any video game. Each weapon feels excellent to use, and the variety gives you quite a bit of room in deciding how to approach encounters. But what truly makes the gameplay so special is the "cloak" mechanic. In essence, it's just a sprint that turns you invisible while it's active, but the brilliance lies in how useful it is no matter how you choose to play, allowing you to avoid fire and flank enemies when facing them head on or nimbly evade and sneak past them when aiming for stealth. Great choons, surprisingly fun minigames, and some pretty funny moments are just the icing on the cake. Frankly, I'm shocked that this game managed to completely fly under the collective radar. I urge anyone reading this to give it a shot, especially if you liked the Hotline Miami games that influenced it. Just don't expect the same level of difficulty. Rest in peace, Brandon Song. Your work may never garner the attention it truly deserves, but it managed to garner mine, and NAMELESS has quickly become one of my favourite games of all time. For that, I cannot thank you enough. God bless.1 found this helpful
Not what I expected
True to the game’s name, you’re thrown in with almost no information. It all begins with a phone call telling you there’s a gun waiting in one of the deposit boxes inside a bank. Moments later, you’re already in control of your character, their face completely hidden behind a mask, goggles, and a hat. You walk into the bank, and before you know it, you’re being escorted straight to the box without raising any suspicion. The moment you pick up the gun, the game starts introducing your abilities. Shooting is your main tool, and you never have to worry about running out of ammo. There’s only a reload period, but otherwise you can fire endlessly. Damage changes depending on whether enemies have spotted you. If they’re alert, they take more damage, but if you catch them off guard or hit them right as they notice you, marked by an exclamation point, you can take them down in less hits. That said, you can go through the entire game without firing a single bullet thanks to your close combat skills. If you get close enough or catch someone by surprise around a corner, you can knock them out instantly, or after a few punches for stronger enemies. There’s no cooldown, which means you ca…
This game was an experience I was not prepared for. Not to say it was completely insane or anything, it was just such a more momentus and impactful game for me then I was prepared for when I bought it for $2.79 on sale. Can't even remember how I found the game, and I only really bought it because it seemed like it was made with love, and some people in the reviews were in my opinion unfairly judging this game. I truly think this game has an interesting graphical style, BEAUTIFUL music, a nice gameplay experience, and an engaging story. I so far have only beat the game once, and have begun a second playthrough, but rest assured that I will most definitely at some point beat this game at least once or twice more, as it seems to have quite a few little hidden things in it. I don't think this game is for everyone, if you are someone who judges games based off of their realism of graphics or what engine they were made in.... just don't play this. But if you you aren't, please give this incredible hidden gem of a game a chance. I can't promise it will be as special an experience to you as it was to me, but I choose to believe it will surely be worth your time and money. Plus the game reg…
