Ember (2016)

A CRPG with good potential, but it falls short on just about every angle except pricing. The price is good. The game is bad. Game is stuttery as all heck if you play windowed fullscreen. Inventory management is a nightmare. Your party resources don't regen naturally over time so you're forced to carry endless healing items around you. Alone, the diversity of these can and will consume over 50% of your inventory capacity. You can't even really sort by availability because while some shop keeps never refresh their stock, some have infinite stock (including infinite food). The world feels kinda empty and dead. The controls are awful. Pathfinding is clunky and janky and makes getting into position in combat a pain; ESPECIALLY if you pick a ranged weapon. Your party's pathfinding in combat is effectively forever nerfed if you do not main melee. Party AI also doesn't exist. They just prioritize your target and happily stand in AoEs and DoTs that will kill them very quickly. The game forces you to sleep a lot to regen resources, but sleeping also respawns enemies. possibly one of the worst crpgs of all time, it screams "we make games cuz its a job" not "we play games", they learned nothing from the greats and youll be wishing for the glory days before you leave the first area....trash UI, looting, items, abilities, combat, tone, style etc etc, i hated it all, but if youre an incel simp cuck...it might be just your thing,
