Id love to leave an great review but i cant. Ive played almost 20 hours of this game and most of that has been buried in the setting menu, trying to make the game visually available for me to play to the fullest. I have color and light issuers. I wish there was some visual options. Colorblind modes to start. Light bloom and strength settings. I feel in love with the fist game, befor my visual issues started. Would love to actually br able to play this.1 found this helpful
Really cool fantasy game with sick vocations (classes) and the combat is addicting once you get the hang of it. There isn't a dodge but the combat is like monster hunter with mages so can't beat that. And the mages are so sick. From heals/elemental buffs to giant lightning strikes and levitation. I just wish it was multiplayer
I deliberately waited to play this game - something I didn't do with it's cousin Monster Hunter Wilds. Wilds was a year-long headache that took forever to fix while I did my best with mods and tweaks to make the game playable for me. Since I waited for DD2, I can happily say it is now 100% stable and playable with both the gameplay and performance issues fixed. With those problems gone, I am enjoying the heck out of a much improved pawn system and the first-rate graphics that bring this game to life beautifully. It's early but I have no issues with the story and love the combat. Honestly, the opponents are a bit too easy but it's early so I expect I will eat those words later. Nearly 10 hours in and I can confidently say this is an A+ experience especially at the new price.
Dragon's Dogma II: Dark Arisen
I've heard this game had quite the abysmal launch. But, from what I've been playing it looks like whatever headaches were present have been fixed, alongside other slice of life changes. Gameplay is very fun, story is what I'd call the Spaghetti Western of Fantasy Medieval as it's likely something you've seen before (Dragon Quest type deal). It is a shame there is no muitiplayer option as it feels like the game is designed around it. At best you have a Pawn of your own to customize, with the 3rd and 4th slot being Pawns you can borrow from other players, including friends. It is neat though that secrets you find can be witnessed by your Pawns and then when they are sent back will aid the player it belongs to.
