This game has sadly not been patched to work with current systems, hence the negative reviews, however gameplay wise this game is fantastic, with many quick missions but also a nice set of campaigns to be played You need to strategically set up your loadout that will be used for the mission, and coordinate yours and your wingman's movements during it The game doesn't support widescreen, and full screen is broken, so I use Lossless Scaling to turn the windowed mode into full screen I also unbound all joystick buttons from the game and am using JoyToKey to play it on a gamepad1 found this helpful
Game is still great, but you need to do a couple of things, any AI can direct you whats necessary. It's simple. Just download dgvodoo (I use 2.86.4) control panel and tweak a few settings. (some settings might or not work depends on your hardware – I've tested on a mid budget and a high-end, worked in both) Go on L3.exe in the directory and disable fullscreen optimizations. OLD SCHOOL:)
A very nice 'simcade' tha works quite well with modern systems. Just get dgvoodoo2 to make sure the game looks great. A beta update from the developers has support for modern resolutions, not sure why it was not included with steams version. But its great fun, we dont get this middle-ground between realism and arcade anymore.
