Ace Combat Assault Horizon - Enhanced Edition

Chill and a good game.

This one isn't good. For a better time get Ace Combat 5 which has a recompilation project on pc earlier this month if you own the disc on ps2!

Greatest game in the history of gamedom come

While I wouldn't say the game is as bad as some people make it out to be, it does have a few issues which make it pretty sluggish to go through. Firstly, dogfight mode is pretty unfun to play, especially against bosses which forces you to use it, where there isn't a lot of chance for counter play. Another issue I personally had was it felt pretty uninspired as a setting, being another Russo-American conflict, with nothing really setting it about from other games made around that time in terms of story. The one thing I will give this game credit on is the soundtrack is really good, and has a few standout tracks such as Rush. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend getting this game if you're expecting a similar experience to other entries in the francise.

Better than AC7's missions, but overall this is a bad game most of the time. Nobody play-tested it thoroughly. It ran pretty well, though, at least on my modern hardware. I won't spoil the worst and most broken things this game has to offer. It burns. I love it because it's bolder than AC7, but it's dumb to try appealing to people who aren't interested in AC games in terms of gameplay. This feels like playing as a killstreak in COD, and I genuinely hate it. RWR sound cues are trash. Missiles are weird for both the player and NPCs, like they have bipolar performance. Sometimes they hit under conditions where they absolutely shouldn't, and most of the time they won't hit an easy target. Switching targets feels like it's happening somewhere else in the world instead of anywhere near the aircraft's nose. Gun range, damage, and trajectory are a complete mystery. And everyone flies SO SLOW. I OVERSHOOT THEM A LOT! DFM isn't turned off because it's badass and cool, even though I hate fake gameplay. ASM, however, is the worst thing ever. These mechanics are what make this game unique among AC games, though. Gunner missions lack gore, consequences, and difficulty. Big L. Heli mode is…
