Adorable and entirely dysfunctional slavjank title. Neither the original game 'Metro-2' nor its Steam release deserve praise, as you have to install a patch and tinker with the settings to even start a new game. If you actually manage to, you'll find inside: weird bespoke engine made just for this game it feels like that has broken movement and allows for uncapped velocity bunnyhopping; annoying gunplay with some creative liberties taken like similating felt recoil by forcibly jerking the player's camera around (!) and the complete defiance of single-fire on automatic weapons; samey boring enemies and environments as the game takes place almost entirely in the Moscow metro (read: long plain hallways and copypasted trains and station); a poorly-understood and at times hilariously inept translation from the original Russian that probably helped no English-speaking player understand what is even going on. And also the game makes you play a 'good' NKVD officer shooting down hordes of 'bad' NKVD officers and Soviet Red Army soldiers, so your milage may vary. It suffices to say that this released in the same year as F.E.A.R and Battlefield 2.

[h3] Literally, the most useless part of the review. (A verrry quick overview & stuff) [/h3] The Stalin Subway is a russian low-budget FPS released in 2005. The story revolves around Gleb Suvorov, whose colleagues turn agnaist him in the game's begining. [spoiler] There is also a second playabe protagonist later on, but she plays the same as her male counterpart [/spoiler] The rest of the story is some unintresting politicall bull-dropping that I don't even care about. Dialogs quality is pretty poor too (And so is the voice acting) But if you are a valid slav junk enjoyer like I am, you should care about the gameplay and level design which I am going to cover now. Enemies so mentally challenged that they will walk in front of you without even shooting and throw greneades under their feet?
