The Stalin Subway: Red Veil

The Stalin SubwayL Red Veil has a few minor problems with moving around. Been stuck in a few places, but no problem with going back to a save and try again. The custom engine has some interesting aspects but the animation problems take away form the engine abilities. The game is largely a dungeon crawler. This game is crude, but playable. This game needs a lot more work on it. To set the resolution above 640x480, there is a config tool in the game folder. Played this on my Dell XPS 9570 with GTX 1050 Ti Max Q 4GB. My Dell has 3840x2160 UHD graphics. Game is very playable.

I'm going to be honest with you, the game is not worth getting even if it were free. It wouldn't be worth getting even if Steam gave you money to finish the game. The previous game, The Stalin Subway (Метро-2 or Metro-2) was bad, but it was tolerably bad, and I finished it without using cheats of any kind except for noclip at the very end of the game when certain doors stopped being openable. This piece of garbage is a third of the of length, has worse enemy AI in the sense that not only does it just sit around and do nothing but aim at you once you're spotted, but also constantly shoots with automatic weapons in tight corridors with fewer places to take cover behind, and a tenth of medkit placements. Cleared an ambush of two guys with PPSh-41s spamming your corner? Congrats, you unlocked two dudes opening a door behind you as you advance into an ambush of another three dudes. I can rant about every instance all I want, but in the end I simply opened the console and entered "god 1" just to get to the end and uninstall the game. Incredibly worse than the first Stalin Subway. I like it.

I like FPS games and challenges, but this game is bad. There are bugs throughout the gameplay, and it is too difficult!!!

Worse than the first game but still somehow it becomes good when you play it. Also the music on the Red Square level was great.

i accidentally bought this game in 2015. it took me 11 years to remember it and actually play it. and now i can tell u my attitude: this is pure ♥♥♥♥. but i liked the red square :)
