King of Retail

Great idea, terrible controls. I gave it about an hour, hoping it would get better, but it never did. Ended up refunding it, which is a shame because the concept had a lot of potential.

So I'm teetering on the edge between recommend and not recommend on this one. Mostly because the game *is* fun to play at the end of the day and I am enjoying it. Please understand that thus far I have not played the campaign (only the single store) and I've only run a clothing store. That being said I have a list of issues with this game that either impact the game play or things that make the game feel distinctly unfinished. I am so confused as to how there is a sequel to this game when the first game was clearly never finished. For instance. You can "decorate" your store in the sense that you can change the floor, walls, and ceiling.... but that's it. No manniquins, carts, large stuffed toys, card board cut outs, wall art, plants, rugs. Nothing. Your store is nothing but racks and maybe a few promotional signage. That's it. Nothing else. It makes it incredibly boring to look at your story after a while. There's no dressing rooms and you'd think that would be something you could get for customers to be more likely to buy something. But nope. There's an underwear section for womens clothes, but not for men. There's no clothes that aren't "hang up things". Like there's no socks,…

I love running stores, but this was... Not enjoyable. It also didn't make sense at times. Controls were odd.

I kept playing for achievements it was not worth it. I gave up. It's not a bad game, there are just better games out there. However, this is a unique set of things I've seen in other games all brought together into one.

It may be a really cool game BUT it's a no for me. I couldn't get past the weird controls. It's no way that game drove me crazy the way it did.
