✦ AI summary

Players praise the game as a fun and engaging game dev tycoon with depth, though some note it's simpler than modern alternatives. The main frustration centers on opaque scoring mechanics—hidden formulas make it unclear what drives game ratings, leaving players feeling their decisions don't matter, compounded by the need for constant game releases to stay financially afloat. The repetitive gameplay loop and lack of transparency about progression requirements lead some to feel the game becomes tedious quickly despite its initially entertaining premise.

This was one of the first big game dev tycoon games, it was really popular at the time, but revisiting it currently it's a mixed experience. The game is really simple, there's little customization and there's not much content, it feels like I don't have a lot of freedom or ways to progress. There's better game dev tycoon style games currently that are much better but still this is not a bad game.

I love this game (mostly). It's super fun and really in depth. There are two thing I really don't like, though. When making a game in this game, you get tech and design bubbles. The more you play, the higher the bar will be (aka you need more bubbles). Though, the game doesn't tell you the bar. After 4 hours of (casual) gameplay, I got 40 bubbles for each in one of my games. It got like 4/10 stars. The study came back for the game and everything was perfect. Why does this happen? IMO, the game should give a set bar to tell you like "You need X bubbles to get a better score and beat the bar". Also, you need to CONSTANTLY spit out games. Otherwise the expenses like salaries and owning your workshop kill you quickly. If one of the devs is viewing this, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD add a set bar that tells you how many bubbles to get to get a good game.

Really fun and for some reason the more absurd or dumb name I come up with for my games the better they do.

Game scores are calculated using hidden, arbitrary rules and formulas which are impossible to keep track of. Makes your decisions in the game completely irrelevant as your games get random, but almost certain mediocre reviews the more you play. Becomes extremely repetitive after less than 2 hours of gameplay. Most overrated game of all time.
