The game is very good, but it also has glaring problems. The good parts are the train and resource management, the story and some side missions are engaging, felt attached to my soldiers and always looked forward to findings lost legionaries, the negative stat mechanic is good but because i abused the stealth mechanic in the game i had not noticed it until i reached the last mission. Now for the bad, once you reach chapter 3 you pretty much have nearly experienced everything the game has to offer, its just rinse and repeat after that. Don't get me wrong its not always a bad thing, but that is if the gameplay loop keeps you engaged. The biggest problem here is that as you continue to play you will notice big problems with the game, the biggest problem is the AI, it is damn braindead with stealth scouts you can get close to them loony tunes style until you stab them right in front of them, once you notice that, the games combat devolves into scout stealth missions where you run mainly scouts and let everyone else sit in the entrance doing nothing until you butcher the whole map and complete the missions, and you do this over and over and over and over and over and over again until y…

Story - The narrative of the legion was what pulled me into the game. A lone train trying to make their way home through enemy territory is an enticing setting. - Unfortunately I find myself not really caring about the story or the characters. The writing was unfortunately quite mediocre, and even Langer isn't that memorable with barely a couple lines about his backstory. [spoiler] Also why did the story keep building towards Langer not boarding the ship and even have him left the train when he most definitely survived??? I felt like that was trying to build an emotional gut punch but it makes no sense[/spoiler] Combat - It's alright, pretty standard RTS controls. But because there's a unit limit every game (10 characters max per squad plus occasional allies) it's very much a small-scale squad-based skirmishes. It won't have the same feel of battles like the typical RTS game - AI is dumb, really dumb, for both friendlies and enemies. Both sides will blindly charge towards machine gun fire with no regards of avoiding grenades or firing positions. It is fantastic resource management having to focus on various points. The game als has a combat element making you focus on various stratagies and squads to achieve your goals. Definitely one the best games I personally ever played. I just wish there was more content to this.
