About War, the Game

'War, the Game' is a global Real Time Strategy game.
Take the role of a supreme commander directing your armies across the globe. Use your strategic wit to battle AI and other players in realistic scenarios.
Conquer the world, city by city.

Easy to learn, difficult to master.
'War, the Game' only has 7 army types. The game rules are simple and transparent. The first few scenarios teach you all you need to know. After that it is down to your braininess.

Variety is the spice of life.
Take command of the armed forced of a large variety of nations. Scenarios require wildly different strategies to win that are not obvious as you start out. The AI is expanding so there is little time to decide.
The network scenarios are also varied. 25 players in a big scrum or 1 on 1. With or without alliances.

Earth is not flat.
'War, the Game' features a spherical version of the globe. Armies, fleets and planes will move along the shortest path along the globe. This will alter the way you think about the world map and is a gaming first.

All about numbers.
Bring more units to a battle and you will win. It is about moving your armies around efficiently. Be at the right time at the right place and victory will be yours.

the game is really fun and simple but it needs some rebalancing because theres absolutely no way that dublin makes more money than shanghai its really unfair also some countries are worthless as they have no way to play, like ireland, wich doesnt even have a port to produce naval units or any other unit for that matter, its simply a city that produces insane amounts of money for no reason

Like some people have already mentioned. It is basically like RISK but with a little bit more depth to it. The game is decent when on sale. It has a weird menu and tutorial, you will have to tinker with the game in order for it to start properly, but it is easy to do. The AI assistant is alright. The battles themselves are very simple and predictable. Basically no RNG in AI or unit behavior. So once you get the hang of it that is it. It is just the case of calculating the most optimal way of solving things without taking an eternity to build an insane ammount of units. The almost lack of soundtrack/background music makes it even more dull after some time. Its okay - you get a couple of hours of game time. The MP was fun with friends.

Played this game several times. It's awesome and realistic. The sound track is addictive.

Oh yes. Oh yes. This game is very intuitive (for me, that is) and great fun for strategists, as even if the odds are heavily stacked against you, you can win. Say, play Netherlands and conquer German cities kind of bad odds, but you STILL SOMEHOW have a chance to win. That's what I like about this game: The simplicity. Yet it has a depth. Any person who needs some chill on a Friday night and likes a good war game that isn't as complicated as HOI4 (although that game is still extremely fun and I have about 550 hrs in HOI4) - War, The Game is an incredible alternative. I love it. Although there are some downsides - let me list the most annoying ones (maybe that'll be different in your game, but it's what I experience that I wish did[n't] exist): 1. The start of the game. It might be for you - and that also happened to me, but I fixed it with quite some messing around (although I can't remember how anymore) - crashing every time in the intro screen or just not opening at all. This would probably be the second of the two main reasons why you wouldn't buy this game (the first one being you just generally don't like war games). 2. The unit selection system takes a bit of getting…
