Very early feedback as there's close to no review. The game is running flawlessly and is totaly responsive. UI and GUI are pretty bare bones but functional. Tooltips are here to explain your character sheet and other required info. The tutorial is also basic but seemed enough to me. There's also a player's guide. I feel like i need to mention this: The game is real time for exploration and turn-based with AP (tokens) during combat phases. I mention that because i couldn't tell from the Store page (both vids and dev description). Really feels like a Fallout in 2.5D, with a different world and a turn-based system taking into account Time Units based on Action types. Character sheet is based on Attributes/Skills/resistances/Perks...Seems pretty solid so far. You can recruit NPCs and wild animals through a surrender mechanic allowing you to choose followers from a wild variety (raiders/snakes...) Gear seems to have a good impact and trading with NPCs really feels Fallout like in a good way (no currency here but pure trade altered by your Barter skill). Mod support and Steam workshop is also a thing (with a guide). I'll update this review each time i get to play the game but for the b…10 found this helpful
Good story: I played this game all the way to the end of the line, and I nearly cried – the last part of the story was really moving, and there were some unsuspecting characters popping up with stuff that made me go ‘say whaaaaaat?’. So playing through the story is rewarding and love the funny characters. Sleek UI: smooth, with tons of options to edit visuals, sounds, etc. and it’s all available to edit in game, which is cool I wish I could get my friends to loot stuff, that way I don’t need to ‘trade’ with them, although, I did have fun just running around looting and sorting it out. I think overall this game has a lot of potential. Early access makes sense, I’m looking forward to see what comes next, especially a survival mode.10 found this helpful
Played 5 minutes, didn't understand anything You get an automatic asault rifle and you miss a rat point blank 5 times with it....stoped playing. The game is a scam, it's one of those excentric games that you have to read a book to play well and it's not even that interesting. Time to refund:))1 found this helpful
I couldn't get this game to work. Every time I tried, it would just open a window with e balloon animation, with a string tied to it that read "No Game." I refunded the game after trying to find a way to get the game to work, Wasn't in the mood to deal with a game that won't load today.1 found this helpful
This game has many interesting aspects and unique aesthetic; it is also quite incomprehensible to me at the same time. I as a gamedev can see how much work has gone into Dark Wish. It feels sad that it didn't get wider audience, and judging by 3 reviews up to now it never will.
