Spark in the Dark

I have played many crawlers, so this one caught my attention immediately. Visually beautiful and tense, but unplayably difficult even on the easiest settings. I have tried at least a half-dozen times using different classes, can't survive past 15 minutes. Any encounter is likely to be fatal, and running into multiple enemies at once is often a hopeless situation. If you step in a trap you bleed out, or if you get poisoned you simply die within a matter of seconds. Gear is degrading junk, good like finding anything better. This is simply an exercise in frustration until the devs do a better job of figuring out the difficulty balance. Not going to waste any more time on it.

wow, what total garbage. swing, run around something, swing again. if you love kiting and never actually fighting, this is your game. it's a cheese fest, you never actually fight anything. it's the same tropes; one swing takes 1/2 your stamina, and you guessed it, blocking does health damage. your shield last 3 hits before breaking or being dropped. its complete torture to play this game. there's nothing fun about it. i can only hope this dev stops here and doesnt infest the market with another one of his terrible games.

Great great great game. If you like dying, then you will enjoy !!. This game is unique. It run perfect on my Arch Linux setup using proton experimental.

Slow and methodical gameplay that feels rewarding, which is pretty rare nowadays. I cannot express how excited I am to see this title progress through early access! Name is very fitting.

The best part about this game is how ruthless the world is. And the worst part about this game is also how ruthless the world is. If you manage to clamp your teeth and march forward through the painful slog of the first hours (and dozens of deaths with a relatively frustrating save system), you'll come to enjoy the game and perhaps even feel ready to take on any challenge (like a huge Black Widow monstrosity). The classes we can play with need some rework, as do the balance of the different melee weapons. For example, the rogue should have more speed and special movements/skills/dodges, otherwise the poking and prodding with knifes is a bit laughable. It should get an special highlight of traps and be basically a master at arming and disarming them, because otherwise traps are not a big deal. Only 5% of my deaths have had to do with them. Heavy armor is too advantageous relative to lighter armor, perhaps dodging should become significantly slower with it? And I find that two hand swords are by far the most balanced choice. If this is a personal preference and the other melee weapons are good with a different playstyle, that's fair. But a two handed hammer or an axe are just to…
