About Scavenger SV-4
Scavenger SV-4 is a highly replayable atmospheric first-person science fiction game.
You are alone on your ship, in orbit above an undiscovered alien planet.
The windswept surface below is a radioactive wasteland. In orbit, the radiation levels are dangerous. Landing there would kill you in seconds, even through your spacesuit.
You have a remote control rover drone. The signal is weak and the interference is strong - the video feed is grainy with static. Use it to explore the surface of the planet, the derelict structures there, and the remains of alien machinery long dead... or perhaps just dormant.
Pilot your rover, bring back samples, and research them in the science lab. Use the objects you've found to enhance your rover. Try to figure out what happened here. Each time you start a new game, you are someone else, with a different story and unknown mysteries waiting on a new planet. With luck, you might leave with a cargo hold full of priceless alien artifacts and be wealthy for life.
Be careful. Bad things sometimes happen to lone explorers far from home.
Scavenger SV-4 is genre defiant - part simulator, part roguelike, with elements of action, combat, resource management, and a dash of horror. It is not quite like any game you have played before.

My first three runs were not that remarkable (Except the time I blasted myself with laser by accident) and I wanted to refund the game thinking it was just VotV in space... until one specific run that I can only explain like this: Mid run got an item (I wont tell you what was it) Guessing time! Item injected ship with alien trojan that physically and mentally violated me for straight five minutes by? 1. Shat all over my screens 2. Disabled my free medical treatment 3. Blasted bbno$ on full volume 4. Sucked all my oxygen out (including me) by opening airlocks wide open 5. Gave my rover to IRS 6. Pissed on my grave 7. Ate my dog 8. All of the above Answer:
8. All of the above
after returning to the space station the Trojan ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killed everyone which ended up sending my score down to -57.000 as a final ♥♥♥♥ you 10/10, recommend it to all masochists and morphine addicts.2 found this helpful
--> This game runs in Manjaro Linux without proton or wine! <-- Well I admit that my instincts were right about this game. It's fun and interesting. FLOATING around the ship I had to figure out what was located and where. I called the rover into the bay and checked it. Looked good. I then sent the rover out to the planet surface. I turned on the viewer and saw a very gritty and camera like image that was sent back to me as I controlled it. The left side of the screen shows what the rover can do and you'll have to activate certain things to make it do what it needs to do. Apparently I was not close enough to an item that was right in front of me as I extended the arms out to grab it. Immediately I lost the signal with the rover! YIKES. For my first time, this was not only interesting but mesmerizing to say the least! What happened? I had to call the rover BACK to the ship. If the signal was lost I cannot see where or what the rover is doing or where it is. With what little I played so far this game is very well made. The movement of your character floats around the ship just like in space as well which is a nice touch. The ship has quite a few rooms with things you'll need should…1 found this helpful
Its pretty good. Melted my rover during re-entry after leaving my fusion reactor on, even though there was a heat sink.
NO optimization. Can't get it to run above 50 FPS with lights enabled.
