Clunky, clumsy but mostly good. Interesting plot really holds it together even when you're asked to go back into an area you've already completely scoured. If playing, just mainline as the game will try and force you to explore everything anyway.

With the updates its a great game. Its a good story and I am really enjoying the combat mechanics. I got it on sale and have no regrets

game is worth the initial struggle. after awhile you get used to the different mechanics that are in play to complete the game. its a fun little challenge

3/10: very small maps, repetitive runnimg back and forth (map recycling to the max).

This is basically like visiting Todmorden but safer.

I know that saying a game is a "Jack of all Trades" may not sound like a positive but this game was perfect for me. It was just complex enough and had enough systems to keep me from getting bored. Basic gunplay, melee combat, crafting, and stealth meant I could always find something to engage in, even if the systems weren't super deep. What I really appreciated was the non-linearity of the maps and story. I loved being able to just explore and have some of that naturally advance the story. The maps don't appear huge but what it lacks in sheer scale, it makes up for in density. So many hidden bunkers, labs, caves, and things to stumble upon. Lastly, I really love the vibes. So colorful and full of fun retro things like talking robot sentries, whirring blnky computers, and lots of fun dialogue. My two main gripes are lack of enemy variety and no proper DLSS/FSR support. Even going past 100% resolution scale didn't stop the edge shimmers. Played fine on my Steam Deck OLED and my home-made steam machine (9070xt zen 3).
