About STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™

✦ AI summary

Master lightsaber combat and Force abilities as Cal Kestis in this action-adventure sequel that continues his fight against the Empire across a sprawling galaxy five years after the original game. Navigate treacherous worlds filled with deadly enemies and environmental puzzles while uncovering a gripping story about survival, sacrifice, and the last hope for the Jedi Order.

The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor™, a third-person, galaxy-spanning, action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively driven, single-player title picks up 5 years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order™ and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times — but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?

I liked the game a lot , had some plot twists I wasn't expecting but gameplay was amazing. Graphics were a nice upgrade from the previous one and the scenery in this one is just beautiful. Combat can get repetitive and easy to read after a while but still a fun experience. One problem I had a lot was achievements not registering and me being an achievement person this bugged me. Sometimes launching through EA worked and other times selecting ' Load journey ' instead of continue also worked as soon as I rested at a meditation zone. But all things considered I had a good time with this.

IMO? A perfect sequel to Fallen Order. Survivor actually makes me feel "old" Star Wars at times. Blending the Separatist Trade Federation/Clone Wars eras to the Empire Era in great harmony. You will get that "A New Hope" nostalgia and the "Revenge of the Sith" all in one package. It's overhauled EVERYTHING from the first game. However, there are some downsides when it comes to the performance aspect. I have a somewhat decent rig, for example I run Kingdom Come 2 on high settings and keep a frame rate of about 90fps. With this game? It chugs at times, and it doesn't seem how much I lower the settings that it will always chug. It's minor enough to get past but noticeable enough for you to say "damn, wish they optimized this a bit better". Either way it's totally worth the full price IMO. I got it on sale and can easily say I would not have been disappointed to pay the full price.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor Hoof Quick review
Initial Thoughts I like this game, but gosh does it have a lot of open world/ newer game nonsense. The main character is genuinely likeable and whilst there’s a lot of typical Star Wars crazy characters it’s a little darker in tone, you’re not saving the galaxy, you’re trying to escape, and well survive. The game really needs a X box controller and is quite a bit tougher without one. Like quite a few RpG-ish games I found the combat very challenging at the start but much more forgiving at the end when I got upgrades. Similarly, the platforming is annoying at the start but by the end when you have unlocked all your toolkit its pretty cool. It’s just the old conundrum do I go back to all those places I saw on my travels but couldn’t get to quandary. Sometimes it was like how the hell do I get back to those places! The not as good things Open World stuff This game has more collectibles than a Ubisoft game; most of which are cosmetic, some of which are currency then there are some very useful ones, such as health, force or stim upgrades (health potions) or new perks. There are multiple types of currenc…

Sequel that surpasses the original. I really enjoyed the story, though the combat is still a bit wonky in terms of the parry timing and feedback. The metroidvania exploration is a lot of fun, and the bosses were memorable and interesting. I especially loved the background chatter between all the enemies which added a lot of personality and texture to a very well-designed and beautifully rendered world. I didn't experience the hardware performance issues many people seem to suffer from. The ending is a bit of a downer but I look forward to seeing the next one. Also,
Merrin is a great side character and definitely one of my top romances in a Star Wars game!
I wish Respawn and EA would optimize this. I want to beat it but geez it's buggy af. Screen glitches , voice glitches. Hard to stay immersed in it when it bugs out. So cool and graphics are great, but I can't get past the glitches. I want to recommend it, however I can't because of the bugs.
