I have a weird relationship with (the OG) Fallout. On one hand I'd love to recommend everyone play Fallout so they can then go on to play Fallout 2, but on the other hand this game is very dated in many ways. I think to enjoy this game you have to WANT to enjoy it and be willing to put up with a steep difficulty curve, clunky UI, and vague objectives/ direction. That being said, if you enjoy Fallout and can handle the quirks of this old game design, I'd highly recommend (at least so you can get to Fallout 2 because that game is really good despite its age IMO). Before you play you, may want to look up like a UI guide or something though because there are a decent amount of quality of life things the game does not tell you. (I don't know why steam says I've only played this for 17 minutes. I beat the whole game.)1 found this helpful
