Really good to get for the trading cards when its bundled on sale

If you liked the narrative in Space Pilgrim Academy: Year One, you will not be disappointed here. There's plenty of good twists and callbacks to the original games' characters that keep things interesting. Some of the academic classes and exercises are entertaining here when trying for all the different options, I particularly enjoyed the combat tactic scenario that plays out in the holodeck. Another solid entry in this series, some annoying backtracking but not overstaying its welcome. Like the other chapters there's always a few lines of dialogue that make me giggle.

After finishing Year 1 I had no choice but to play this one straight away. I just had to know how the story would go on, and Year 2 delivers. Same as the first game, there are no battles here at all. It plays like an old-school adventure again. Searching locations for items, combining them and working out what to do with them. The puzzles still fit the story nicely. The characters carry it again too. The ones I liked from Year 1 are back, and the new ones fit in well. The story keeps its mix of light and dark moments, and it kept me hooked right up to the end. And of course it leaves you hanging enough that Year 3 becomes unavoidable. Overall another well done entry. At the sale price it's a no-brainer if you enjoyed Year 1.

Yes. It's a visual novel, and it's good. So, yes.

The classes and tests are less excruciating than year 1, but I still hate that portion of the game, I hate it so much. Plus it's just filler, I'd rather have shorter games that is straight to the point like the first 4 episodes. I'm only pushing through these last games because I wanna see how the story ends. Sad that there's so much boring filler school stuff.
