About Memetown USA
Memetown USA is a short, irreverent RPG where you battle a dangerous cult threatening to destroy the universe in a meme-obsessed town filled with deep-fried cutscenes and frog-themed boss fights. It's packed with absurdist humor, an in-game internet with meme-editing software, and an original soundtrack that celebrates the greatest meme songs of our generation.
Description
Memetown USA is a short, tongue-in-cheek roleplaying game about saving the world from a dangerous church trying to destroy the universe. The game is usually 2D, but it also has some spicy 3D cutscenes showcased in the trailer below. Memetown USA may be small in scope, but it makes up for it with intense AAA quality meme material.
Features
- An epic story that spans dozens of minutes, possibly even hours if you're slow.
- An in-game computer packed with crazy meme-editing software and an entire in-game internet.
- Deep-fried cutscenes.
- A built-in online service for sharing memes with other players.
- Frog-themed boss battles.
- An original soundtrack inspired by the greatest meme songs of our generation.
- Multiple volumes of meme scripture, including Holy Bible 2 and Duderonomy 420.
Story
Welcome to Memetown, a typical city in every way except one: memes. Memes are a way of life in Memetown. Memes are everywhere. Memes are products. Memes are people. Memes are religion. Especially religion. In fact, something about the church seems a little suspicious. Maybe it's worth checking out...
Recently there have been rumors of a dangerous cult residing in the woods near Memetown. Maybe they know something we don't...
The amount of effort required to make this game far exceeded the value of the end result.

Meme Town, what is a Meme Town if not an idea? A concept? A monolith of excess? A meme town is more than any and all of these things combined, it is the soul of a nation, the heart of a people, the final frontier of resistance against a looming daunting threat. I think that this game excellently and masterfully explores the deep psychological motivations of the middle class to fight back against oppression in a community being crushed by a massive wealth transfer under the thumb of an elite and uncaring ruling class. The cultists of the forest may appear on surface to be a standard doomsday cult, plotting the end of the world for their no real reason other than to sit atop the ash piles as all that remains, I however have a different theory. I believe whole heartedly and unwaveringly that the cult of the forest has been secretly fighting back against the corporation expansions of the meme man and the mainstream religious cult using a fascinating and innovating form of socialist based nature anarchism. Now this may sound a little hard to believe, outlandish and absurd in fact, but think are we truly a society of civilized men of we cannot step back a moment to examine our own belief…
I felt like this game was made for me.
Didn't expect to enjoy this - but legit had a lot of fun. Its not very long (about an hour)- but you really can't change the price from 4.20. Great for stream for sure! Paa Community member : Terrifically Entertaining, Snarky & Story driven <3
