Almost got to the end, anniversary update occurs, hop on game, have to start from the start. What a waste of my time.

I've always been a fan of Choose Your Own Adventure books growing up, and this game successfully scratches that long lost itch in spades. If you enjoy text-based adventures, a simple but unique jagged, paper-esque artstyle, finding brutal, outrageous ways to meet your medieval demise, or simply wish to replace doomscrolling with side-scrolling, this is the game to stick with. And besides, it's less than $5!

interesting game, cheap nothing too extravagant

I got this game 5 years ago for $1.59 and played it feverishly earlier this year. I put in 1 hour per dollar spent and can say that the game is well worth the cost then and it still is now. If you like card-like deck building games, get this.

It's like Tinder and the stat aspect of KOEI games had a child together. In this game, you either swipe left or right and pay the consequences for doing so. After your a certain stat block has hit its peak, your king meets their fate either Saint, Sinner, Tyrannt, or Peaceful death. The continuous timeline and the unlocking of new cards is what makes this game extremely fun. If you love dating apps plus diplomacy, this gem is one you have to get your fingers on.

Very unique and has a lot of humor. Unfortunately it's also extremely repetitive and quickly gets boring. The lack of consequence in how cards affect the stats is very frustrating, e.g.: one event that's about sending your troops to fight something can lower your military score, while another army-exhausting action could increase it. And even when you memorise all o the cards, you'll fail, because of the completely unnecessary real-time stat draining.
