STAR WARS™: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes™

Amazing ... I finaly got it to run, due to steam finaly fixing it ... and what for? Just to realizse a quater hour in that it's one of THE absolute WORST hardcoded jump and runs I ever played, I mean, the fixpoints for controlers make you fail on purpose wich should/ were intended to "Help" you and make things easier but they do exactly the opposite ... and lets not even mention the annoying jump'n'run enemys wich turn invisible and shift throu reality itself, forcing you to a endlessly long wait, jump and fail. ... wow, just wow. And it's all really a shame because the game has potential ... if it only would not have such a horrendeous control mechanics.

People that rag on this game are the same ones that hate on the green lantern movie and og fantastic four movies. They hate fun. This game was and still is a childhood dream come true. It's mind blowing how they were able to perfectly replicate the combat, animations, and overall weight of each character. Not to mention the gorgeous art style. The combat is legitmately the most satisfying in any star wars game simply because the sabers cut through enemies like butter and, as everything knows, the clone sections are the best. Don't sleep on this game. It is very niche but very fun and specifically made for clone wars fans. Plus it has the vibe of clone wars adventures and lego.

Played this game so much as a kid. It's one of the few Star Wars games where lightsabers feel like they actually do accurate damage. Since most of the enemies are droids, you can just cut straight through them, which is incredibly satisfying. The cutscenes also look incredibly good for their time, basically looking straight out of the early seasons of the cartoon. It seems like some of the early issues with Windows Live have been patched, but you still can't save the game unless you log in or make a local account. Even if you don't, the game is short enough that you can beat it in a short afternoon.

Republic Heroes is a game that definitely succeeds only at one task: advertising The Clone Wars TV series... To people who already watched it, for only they would still be interested in the series after playing this game. First things first: Games for Windows Live. For whatever bizarre reason, it still is packed with the game and even required for playing, for saves are stored in the cloud. And as expected, it might not work off the bat. The fix is very simple: developers have added Xbox account integration, so all you have to do to make that piece of software work is turn on and open your Xbox Game Bar (which comes with Windows) and make sure you are logged in your account there. Then the game will recognize it and use in Games for Windows Live, making saving the progress possible. Annoying, but isn't the worst part of the Republic Heroes. Released almost at the same time with the season 2 of The Clone Wars series, Republic Heroes was made to show more adventures of familiar characters in the decorations of first season. This is without a doubt the single best piece of star wars media I have ever experienced.

Other people already mentioned how crap this game is. Not only is depth perception a huge issue, I've also had trouble saving it. If I closed my device or exited the game, I'd have to start from the very beginning. Very unfortunate. Nevertheless, I will probably play again. Don't be like me, lol.
