✦ AI summary

Players are deeply divided on this game. Those enjoying it praise the challenging arcade-style gameplay, varied enemy types, rewarding difficulty, solid art style, and engaging story with weapon customization options. However, critics find the game repetitive and shallow, arguing it lacks depth beyond the first few minutes and doesn't understand what makes a good shoot-em-up, with the core gameplay loop becoming tedious rather than engaging.

Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is TRAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!! From the great minds that brought you the greatness that is "Redcon" comes this pile of smoking trash.. somehow...... When first launched it seems promising but the problem is - on it's first stride it just goes nowhere and falls flat on it's face. You've played first 3 minutes - you've seen it all; And I wish I was joking. In my many an encounter with various games and genres I have rarely (if ever) hit such a specimen. I mean developer seems to not really know what makes schmup a schmup. See if this still feels like something you want to waste your time on (I suggest you don't), because after self-deceiving myuself for ~3 missions, the only thought filling my mind was "just pleeeease let this torture EEEND!". Such is life of a completionist... I'll just list the issues in severity from worst to small-worst: * The levels are absurdly long. Possibly 20 minutes of no-save, no checkpoint trudge. * Levels are barren. It's just a long wallpaper scrolling in the background with no impact or relation to the gameplay. Might as well been a black void in the background. No height differences, no obstacles to avoid, zilch. * Guns suc…

Amazing side scroller that is both challenging and rewarding. COuld do with more incentive to replay but is a great game anyway. Great art style and sound scoring to go with it. Good opportunity to choose preferred weaponry and set the play style. Great story, and set for different enimies which are highly varied. Good amount of difficulty forcing you to fail and try different tactics.

Flying Tank is an action-packed side-scrolling shooter that successfully blends old-school arcade sensibilities with modern progression systems. Developed and published by Hexage, the game takes place in a future where humanity has lost control of Earth to an overwhelming alien threat. Players assume the role of a mercenary pilot commanding a heavily armed flying combat vehicle, embarking on dangerous missions to push back against the invaders and reclaim what remains of the planet. While the premise is straightforward, it provides enough context to give purpose to the constant stream of battles and destruction that define the experience. The core gameplay revolves around fast-paced aerial combat across a lengthy campaign filled with enemy forces, environmental hazards, mini-bosses, and massive boss encounters. Flying Tank immediately captures the excitement of classic shoot-'em-ups by delivering responsive controls and nonstop action, but it goes beyond simple nostalgia through a well-developed upgrade system. Every mission rewards progress, allowing players to enhance their firepower, unlock new abilities, and gradually transform their vehicle into a devastating war machine. Thi…
