About Niara: Rebellion Of the King Visual Novel RPG

Niara: Rebellion Of the King Visual Novel RPG is set in a world where gunpowder and magic goes hand in hand. The land is vast and is under control of kings. Kingdom of Kruuthvaal is under unrest as one of its port cities have been attacked by one of the mightiest nations in history, Udrela. Peace on the continent was maintained by the Ansark Alliance but it had lost much of its influence due to heavy corruption among kings. Blood of thousands of people is on Udrelean commander's hands who ordered the attack. Kruuthvaal wants his head. The Alliance forbids it. What will happen when a surviving soldier(with a conscience and will to defeat the unbeaten army) finds his countrymen and loved ones being crushed in this political warfare resulting in their blood being spilled?

This game features turn based battles and exploration of the game map using in game choices. There is an inventory, quest and merchant system as well. All effort has been done to make sure that all the necessary RPG elements are included in the game alongside the immersive story telling features of a visual novel.

Exploration of the game world is done using in-game choices. You can look at the map to see where you are and where you want to go.

Turn based battles are activated when you are traveling on your motorcycle from one place to another. They are activated randomly. In these battles you have to plan when you want to attack and when you want to heal or use magic. In this game a lot of strategy depends upon what weapon and magic you are using. There are also options to upgrade the potency of your health potions.

All effort has been made to present the story to you in a gripping and entertaining way. The game is set to be easy and sometimes moderately difficult because the main focus of the game is on the story.

Thank you for reading this. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy the game. We are really looking forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to connect with us.

Niara is a male protagonist who finds himself one of the remaining survivors of his region after the Udrelean army destroyed his city & murdered majority of the residents. The protagonist manages to survive thanks to a Sniper comrade who saves him from potential death. Upon escaping to Milas City, the protagonist joins the Resistance, lead by Commander Hudson, in an attempt to overthrow the Udrelean army and keep Milas City from being overthrown. And so begins a story-driven RPG designed using Ren'Py that demands a patient game-play approach because there are no character limitations preventing you from progressing to regions that contain much stronger adversaries than the ones you encounter at the start of the game. This can cause a lot of frustration as there are plenty of story driven quests (and side quests) thrown at you early on but the character levelling is left to your own devices meaning unless you repetitively grind in the early levels of the 1st city region then it can cause issues when it comes to advancing to Milas City. This is because in Milas City you will be meeting a wide mix of characters whose purpose there is to aid side quests and provide 'advice' a…

I'll admit I didn't get very fart into the game – I might revisit it at some point, but for now, I got stuck on an apparently unavoidable "game over" on the first mission and lost most of the will to continue. Even at this short glance, though, I can tell a few things: 1. The game's look and interface are very clunky and unappealing. Navigating the map, interacting with NPCs, fighting... It all feels like a chore. There's also a lot of locales and characters that at first serve no purpose, or offer services that really should be part of some kind of glossary/encyclopedia (like showing item/spell stats). 2. The combat system feels very simple and the limited gear and spells are not particularly appealing. It's visibly below some purposefully-streamlined dungeon crawlers I've played, let alone proper RPGs. 3. The visuals are extremely simple and repetitive. You'll see a lot of faceless NPCs and undistinctive towns/warzone locales. There's admittedly more variety when it goes to backgrounds than there is when it goes to characters, but it's all extremely basic. 4. The story... Looks fairly ok, feeling like a bit of a mix of RPG and anime cliches done in a reasonably enjoyable way. It…

Very legit and fun first impressions!! Gotta be a little quick in the combat so once you catch on to that mechanic it will be smooth sailing. I mention this because you may lose your first combat due to being caught unprepared, so now you're prepared for it! Really interesting and unique features that makes me want more of this style of RPG. I'll be playing more in the future of course and would def recommend this rough gem.

I played this game for sometime and I must say that it is a visual novel and hence if you are expecting RPG gameplay the way it is present in modern or roguelike role playing games then you won't find it here. However, if you look at it as if it was a visual novel then you will be able to enjoy it. It goes heavy on text and dialogues and there is a little bit grinding in the game. You must click on choices to explore the game map and be careful of your level as you progress in the game. The story is the main focus here and there are a few side quests which seem fun but I haven't done them yet. So, overall, this is a visual novel with some (not all) role playing elements in it. If you get this on a sale then you should go for it if you like playing visual novels that is! :)
