[h1]A Bland Experience Despite Some Good Ideas[/h1] I appreciate the art style, music, and the work that went into making this game. There are some decent ideas here, with a reasonable variety of weapons and mechanics. Unfortunately, the overall experience felt quite bland to me. I finished the campaign, which took me around 4 hours, and while it was perfectly alright, very little of it actually stuck with me. The gameplay never really felt like it developed into anything particularly interesting or memorable. My biggest complaint, however, is the amount of time spent **frantically searching for the last remaining enemy or trying to find the portal to the next level**. It genuinely felt like a significant portion of the game was spent wandering around trying to figure out where I was supposed to go rather than actually playing. A waypoint system, minimap, or even some kind of directional hint would have helped tremendously. Getting stuck in a level simply because you can't find the last enemy or the exit becomes frustrating very quickly. The in-game dialogue font could also use some improvement, as I found it unnecessarily difficult to read. There are a few other smaller issues …

Just not very fun. Doesn't feel good playing, tedious and boring.

It's a good game overall. I think 15 dollars is a bit much for the playtime, so you might want to wait until it's on sale, but the gameplay is good and I think the artstyle is charming. I do wish in the later levels it showed an arrow for the remaining enemies though, later levels are a big bigger and it takes a moment to search for any stragglers.
