Spacetime Shooter

Spacetime Shooter takes the idea of a sniper game in an unusual direction, replacing fast reactions and conventional gunplay with carefully constructed puzzles involving timing, positioning, and bullet trajectories. The objective sounds simple: eliminate every target in a stage using a single bullet. Actually achieving that goal requires much more than lining enemies up in the sights. Each level becomes a problem of geometry and timing where the player must determine not only where the bullet should travel, but also when the battlefield should be frozen into the ideal configuration. Developed by Team GoodDuck and published by Jungle Game Lab, the game is built around two complementary mechanics. The first is manipulation of the Timeline, which allows the player to select a particular moment in the sequence of events. Since targets can occupy different positions over time, choosing the correct instant can transform an impossible arrangement into one where a single shot has a chance of reaching everyone. Spacetime Shooter is a really neat little puzzle game built around an idea that sounds much more complicated than it actually is. I play as a sniper who has to eliminate every enemy with one bullet, but I can control time and bend the path of the bullet through space to make that possible. Instead of worrying about aiming quickly, I am basically designing the entire shot before I fire it. I like that because it turns shooting into a proper puzzle where I have to think about the route rather than just having good reflexes. The timeline tool is one of the things I like most. I can stop time and adjust when enemies are going to be in the right positions, which means I do not have to rely on perfect timing while actually firing the shot. The distortion fields are even more interesting because they bend the aiming line and let me create curves around obstacles and towards targets. Once I start combining both systems, a level can look almost impossible at first and then suddenly become very simple once I find the right setup. That feeling of finally seeing the solution is easily the best part for me. I also like that the game lets me see the bullet travel along the route I created afte…

A very nice and unique puzzle game. I wouldn't want to pay much for it, it's quite short (my 3.2hr playtime was inflated by going AFK with the game running) and felt more along the lines of a neat Flash game that doesn't overuse its interesting concept than a full game, but it's also completely free when plenty of paid games are worth less. Mostly pretty easy, but it's possible to get stumped occasionally. I think more could probably have been done with puzzles requiring you to pass the same warp field two or more times.

unique puzzle game that (imo) doesn't overcomplicate itself with too many fancy mechanics, 10/10

fun game, unfortuneatly some of the later levels heavly rely on finding that one exact angle you can go from one to the other side of the map. Deffinitively worth it
