Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the "lowest historical price" on steam at time of purchase. Quick score: 4/5 Notes: Solid minimalist platformer. Nothing revolutionary. You got a jump + dash and a bunch of obstacle courses. Unlike the 1st game in the series which was trash, this game is actually pretty great and fixes all the major issues I had with the previous game. So props to the dev for the improvements, good job m8. Massive improvement in almost every way. Couple minor complaints. The movement is still a little stiff for my taste, and the visual effects can be a bit too much at times. (Though turning off screen shake in the options helps a ton and I would recommend) Most of the levels are pretty easy, but the movement speed of your character is fast enough that even on the easy levels it is still enjoyable to try to blast through the levels as fast as you can without dying. The bonus modes are okay, but the only one worth possibly playing through again would be the speedrun one, which adds a death timer to every stage. Personally I'm fine having just played through the normal mode with all the bonus levels which…

You would think a game about playing as a cube overcoming obstacles is simple enough like the first game, but no. It's much worse than the first game. They really upped the ante in this game by making it more challenging and more frustrating. Its controls are a slip and slide. The wall climbing is much more challenging to hold onto and you fall to your death in a mere millisecond. Some movable obstacles that are able to kill you go so fast that it's impossible to get through. Speaking of impossible, there are those cube collectables that you cannot retrieve due to how bad the dash ability is implemented. So bad that they made it so you can only have one dash per jump, only until you land on solid ground, but not when you're against a wall and there are moments when it's impossible to get back to where you came from. Would not recommend such a simple concept of a game :/

Main game wasn't too difficult, harder parts were in the bonus "Tesserect" areas. Music kinda sucked, bit disappointing considering earlier games. Extra modes same as Vol.1 except the mode where you play all the "Tesserect" Levels. May or may not go back for the achievements, No Steam Profile Features :(

I really like this game and it deserves to be better known to a wider audience. The controls are tight and make for some solid platforming. The regular levels are not that difficult and serve as practive for the completely optional challenge levels. Many of the challenge levels appear to be impossible at first, but all are doable. The fact that the challenge levels are optional make this game accessible to players of all skill levels. A little warning: The default settings of this game will attempt to induce epilectic seizures in the players with over the top lighting effects, screen shake, controller rumble and other unneccessary flashy distractions. Luckily that can all be turned off/down.

Review based on all achievements, taking just under an hour and 40 minutes to do. Absolutely based game. Get it if you like precision platformers. Please note though that you can kill many things with the triangle that shoots out behind you when you dash. That will make your life a lot easier. Also let go of and regrab run to turn faster in the air. Anyways yeah there are 108 main levels, 50+ secret levels, and 4 (3 depending on how you look at it) gamemodes, 60+ audio tracks that you can switch between whenever you want, excellent visuals, pretty fun, if inconsistent difficulty-wise, gameplay. I really like this game. Just get it if you like precision platformers. I had a blast with it and didn't really run into any glitches. (also the 'beat alternate gamemode' achievements can be cheesed just by entering the final stage and clearing that for each one lol. I'll probably come back and play those modes legit later on though cuz this game's so fun. I did boot into the 'not him again' one for a bit and it seems cool.)
