I want to get off the slip and slide, but the character continues to slide off ledges no matter what. Unforgivable platformer sin.

A breath of fresh air in the wake of all of the microtransactions, pay-to-win mechanics, and live service games. Vivaldia 2 feels like an arcade platformer you would have played back in the day at home. It perfectly replicates a by-gone era of gaming. It gives me very nostalgic Sega Genesis vibes because of the way it is presented. Not only that, but this is a HUGE step-up and improvement over the first Vivaldia game. The game has a lot more levels than the original, and each level progressively gets more and more difficult and challenging. While the hard levels are hard, they're not impossible; you just need to time your moves correctly. Also, the change in tone is a very welcome addition to the series. While the first game takes place in a futuristic cyberpunk city, Vivaldia 2 takes place in a jungle, making the character feel like Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. And each environment of the game has its own unique theme, and they are all bangers as well. This truly feels like a classic platformer from the 90s. Everything in the game is 100% faithful to the time period it is trying to replicate. 9.5/10

Awesome game!

I've played this game a few times in normal mode before I changed to challenge mode. I'm not very good at games so it took me a while to become accustomed to the player's mechanics and I died a ton of times just learning how a platformer really works. Still, it is really fun! I've thoroughly enjoyed the art, challenges, bosses, and the overall flow of the game After about 3 normal attempts, I've attempted this game in challenge mode and managed to win with the same amount of lives I started with which means I died a few times after finding extra lives. For someone of my skillset, this probably means that this game should be simple and fun for most others. Try it out! It may take a little while to get accustomed to the mechanics, but it is so satisfying to get to the end and win!!!
