The Catacombs of Solaris Revisited is an unconventional exploration game that embraces the idea of interactive art over traditional gameplay. Instead of guiding players through combat, puzzle-solving, or narrative-driven objectives, it presents a deceptively simple challenge: wander through an endless maze of impossible architecture and discover the room that resonates with you the most. This minimalist premise becomes the foundation for an experience built around curiosity, visual perception, and imagination. Every step through its surreal corridors reveals spaces that appear to bend logic, encouraging players to slow down and appreciate the artistry behind each environment rather than chase conventional progression. What makes the game particularly memorable is its masterful use of optical illusions and impossible geometry. Rooms constantly reshape the player's understanding of space, creating structures that appear to violate the normal rules of perspective. My neurospicy brain loves this. No objectives or goals, just walk and explore the trippiest place you'll ever see. They have a bunch of "mutators" as the game calls them so you can add lights and color-changing effects. You can also create catacombs with your own images.

It's fine, basically a quick tech demo. It's nearly exactly the same thing as the itch.io version, so I only recommend it if you get it for a good deal; definitely not worth its full price. Good for a little bit of fun with some music in the background.

Not really a game but an interesting visual experience. Overpriced for what it is.
