About Krut: The Mythic Wings
Krut: The Mythic Wings is a fast-paced hack and slash, side-scrolling platformer based on a 2018 Thai CG animated feature-length film "Krut: The Himmaphan Warriors", Southeast Asian mythology about the adventure of a Garuda warrior on the enchanted Island, Himmaphan.
In a world full of mystical creatures and magic, the ruthless army of the Ogre invaded the land of the Garuda race. The Garuda army was defeated and the capital city was eventually fallen. Upon the destruction and despair, a badly wounded warrior found himself on a mysterious enchanted island called Himmaphan. He met a mysterious figure who entrusted him with a powerful artifact, the Mythic Wings. A legend told that a legendary hero used the wings during the Great War hundreds of years ago and brought peace to the land. Now, the new adventure has begun.

Krut: The Mythic Wings is a fun and short 2D Action platformer where your character is a bird of a race called Krut, you will venture in a journey where you obtain mechanical mythic wings that allows you to obtain magical power and you will fight the guardians of each land to gather the magical powers of the wings spread across the continent. The mechanics were nice and fun, different combos to master and dodge timings are crucal or you will be taking lots of damage. The game gets more fun and easier once you start nailing down those dodge timings and upgrade your skill tree for more stats. I loved the boss fights as each one of them was unique. The level design was remarkable and manageable at the same time. The soundtracks were fine but you will still enjoy them. Overall the story was worth following. Recommended 2D Action Platformer with an overall rating of 10/102 found this helpful
'I was initially meant to play this game for a few minutes when I first started it, but I ended up playing for over an hour, almost finishing it in one sitting. That's how addictive it is'. Krut: The Mythic Wings is your run-of-the-mill, sidescroller hack 'n' slash game, and I don't mean that as a dishonour, quite the opposite. It's 3D this time, with the story told in a 2D visual novel. The 3D gameplay animated smoothly, not too distracting or awkward. With how well this is done, I wish more games did something like this. If you're not a fan of 3D in this genre then you're missing out as this is everything you could have want in hack 'n' slash game; the enemies attack patterns (especially the bosses) are easy to calligraph, and you can do different attacks that feel rewarding when you press the buttons in the right order. The platforming isn't anything special; you can glide, but it's nothing new. But you can't knock it out of the park, as it is a nice bonus to traverse around the map and maybe find some extra currency along the way. And finally, one key thing I really like about this game is the dodge action, where you can instantly dodge any attacks with no lag or del…1 found this helpful
Really easy game. I beat it in just under 1.5 hours on my first playthrough. Sure that was on Normal difficultly, but now that I know how all the bosses move Hard shouldn't be that bad. The trick is to dodge roll into the enemy attacks. I didn't even use my super attacks. Just punch punch dodge roll. Repeat. It reminds me a lot of Alien Soldier on the Genesis. Bare bone levels with a few enemies and a big boss fight. But Alien Soldier was better in almost every way. That's not saying Krut is bad. It's just not as polished. If you can catch Krut on sale it's worth a couple bucks.1 found this helpful
** A new patch is very interesting. Now, you have 2 different rolling moves (forward and back roll) which changed the way you play and fight enemies in a good way. The game balance is much better now. Many enemies that were too strong before, are now easier. Also, the game drops more Money which is great. *** Pro - A quite fun retro action game. - Gameplay is quite simple, not too complicate - Tight character controls - Pretty good graphics - Some good boss fights - Quite challenging at first. It's not too difficult when you understand the attack patterns of enemies. Con - Only 6 stages. You won't be able to try all the upgrades and abilities in a single play. - Level design is not bit linear (except one level which have multiple routes). - Balance is not so good. Some regular enemies are too difficult. - No extra contents and unlock-able - Special Power is a bit underwhelming If you are looking for a fun and easy to pick-up and play old-school action game, you will enjoy it. (Don't choose Easy difficulty, it's too easy.)1 found this helpful
Its a very good game ( not metrovania ). The game its way linear ( hack'n slash ) and its fun.
Very short game but truly amazed on how much charm and effort was put into the game! A shame this didn't get anymore funding during development but its a good IP deserving of a sequel or a prequel. Should a sequel/prequel happen, given the same treatment as "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night"; this could have major potential.
