This is such an under rated game. it has some Souls like elements to it, but with a strong emphasis on puzzles and platforming. This is a 10/10 for sure, I can't put it down!

The Crown of Wu is an ambitious third-person action-adventure that draws heavily from Chinese mythology, particularly the legend of Sun Wukong from Journey to the West, while framing it within a stylized fantasy–science fiction hybrid world. Developed by Red Mountain and published by Meridiem Games, Gammera Nest, and Ripples Asia Venture, the game places players in the role of Wu, a fallen warrior whose stolen crown threatens to unleash catastrophic consequences. The premise sets up a redemption-focused journey, blending mythic themes of pride, punishment, and responsibility with classic action-adventure gameplay elements such as combat, platforming, exploration, and puzzle solving. The world of The Crown of Wu is one of its most striking features. Environments are built around floating islands, ancient ruins, and abstract structures that mix traditional mythological motifs with futuristic decay. These spaces often feel imaginative and conceptually rich, giving the sense of a civilization caught between divine legend and technological collapse. Exploration is encouraged through branching paths, hidden collectibles, and environmental storytelling that gradually reveals fragments of…

saw this game a few times and decided it would be worth it to pickup on the sale and i actually enjoyed it a good bit. ive been very hyped about the game: Black Myth Wukong and this is the same journey but not a very well known game that came out as a soulslite with some platforming. the gameplay is pretty smooth, simple, and the graphics are decent. the game does feel bland at times but the fights were fun and it was satisfying to leap around to different places. this isn't a bad game at all, it just felt like some things were missing from time to time but overall it scratches the itch a little bit and it's not bad to pickup on a sale and try for yourself. there were some minor bugs but nothing totally game breaking, more just comedic. check it out!

Wukong in space. A somewhat sci-fi take on the classical legend. Wu is a monkey hero who was tricked by a pig hero, who stole his crown and threw him in prison. Break out of prison, regain mastery of the 4 elements, and defeat your rival to reclaim your crown. The gameplay is a mix of souls-inspired stamina-based combat, and PS2-era platforming and puzzling. The game is level-based, with a loose story connecting them all. The quality is pretty uneven. Graphical presentation is also all over the place. The main character looks incredibly dated, but some elements of level design are pretty ornate and quite pretty- the game has some lovely skyboxes with imposing architecture. There's a limited range of enemy types, and a few bosses. Some of the levels are quite large, and feel more like puzzle dungeons, which is a neat throwback. As a negative, I have to mention inability to remap controls in-game. Encounter design is all over the place, and the ending feels rushed- you gain the final elemental power literally right before encountering the final boss, so the power to spawn earth pillars as extra platforms is only used once. Overall, the game is a curio. Probably not worth the…
