Superou a expectativa. Comprei achando que seria igual a Stardew valey porém achei mais divertido o estilo de masmorra e combate. Ter a estratégia de combate por cartas foi uma ideia excelente, lembra tcg. O jogo é bem bonito e diferente. O mapa é randômico pra cada jogador o que o torna mais único.

This game didn't really work for me. The unappealing artstyle made it hard to get into, and the creature collecting system doesn't contribute anything unique to the gameplay. The farming is completely generic, and little details about the gameplay and controls made this a lot more frustrating to play than similar farming games.

This sucks to say, but I should have listened to the mixed reviews. The game isn't bad, just uninspired, mechanically shallow, and doesn't *feel* right to play. Combat doesn't have the requisite complexity to engross you like card battlers on PC/paid mobile games. The villagers all feel very one-note, an annoyingly enthusiastic caricature of young people that you would see in corporate media. The overworld is slow to traverse, which wouldn't be bad if there was some variety. Head-and tailwinds are present when gliding, and can be seen with wind directions, but the game could have benefited from a number of things: air currents for speed boosts; background fauna/sound effects; more variety in the sea-box below are some examples. Stardew is very good at this, the game feels full of critters/interactions and art in a lot of places in the background, but maybe it is unfair to moonstone island to be compare to it. You don't even feel relaxed or can zen out as time moves quickly in this game. This game is Harvest Moon + Pokemon + Kiki's Delivery Service and I'm here for it. So cozy! There's a lot to do but you don't have to. Clearly Something Happened Generations Ago but we don't know what, which leaves you free to make up a back story. The villagers are engaging to a degree, very likable all of them, but I like that there doesn't seem to be friebdship decay because I am too busy exploring. There's a lot of spirits to collect, and some of them even evolve, which is a fun dynamic. I take exception to the prior reviewer who said that "there are no white girls and only one dorky white guy, and everyone else is black." Actually! I count at least one, maybe two white girls, one white guy, two Black characters, and a variety of other races. And you are free to play as a blond; you can fully customize your appearance at any time. Everyone on the island is datable, which is refreshing! I didn't actually realize marriage was an option until now, which means either more in-game guidance is warranted or I'm not spending enough time talking to people. Every time I think about putting the game down and playing something else, I end up coming back to it to just clear one more dung…

I don't love card battlers, really not my thing--but Moonstone Island might break me of that. Good depth, love the life sim, combat is actually pretty fun, and the creature collection is really fun when you combine it with the flying. Most life sims fail because they don't have core game mechanics play off each other, Moonstone Island does this flawlessly. Truthfully, I played the game years ago and had a bit of a "meh" reaction because there was no way to make my character look like a boy. That's been changed in a recent update. I still think it's a little silly that the creator forces you to spend a decent amount of in-game effort just to effectively pick a gender, but it's their game and they can do what they want with it.
