Starsand Island

This is not a complete release. While I enjoyed the game in early access with some flaws, it's very obvious that this game was released unfinished. This should have been given more time to have more updates.

There HAS to be massive changes, improvements, and fixes for this game to be really more than 'generic hollow anime farm sim'. Don't buy it, you're wasting money-- until they fix this game, its going to leave you wanting- and not the fun yearning of a sequel type of deal. If you REALLY want to experience it, wait for a huge sale where it's about 10 bucks or something on the cheap side. 40 dollars isn't worth it, this game is more than double stardew. If you want a farming sim for cheaper than that, and is A BALLER TIME, Rune factory 4 special is like 30 bucks, or RF5, which IS 40, and both deliver stellar experiences, even if 5 is the dev team still figuring out 3D gameplay flow <3. For the price point of 40 dollars, compare it to these games. You'll understand why the cost of this game is dogwater for what you get. It feels like this was a rushed mess of a game- over selling on promises that they later removed from the store page all together after people realized there wasn't any sort of implementation of it in the game. bare bones multiplayer all the events are solo only what a joke

I don't understand the recent "mostly negative reviews" like what was people expecting from this game? Now the game is basically My Time games hybrid with Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons, and yes we get Gust and Ginger from My Time at Portia and Feng and Nia from My Time at Sandrock as residents "was a little disappointed they had the smallest quest line going with minimum voice acting" but was nice to see them again so that's a bonus. You get 4 massive plots of land to make farms/houses whatever you went in 4 different areas can even make a houseboat, you have 5 professions you work on, Crafting, Farming, Fishing, Ranching and Exploration all with 5 tiers from Apprentice to Expert, so there's a lot to do, then ofc you have the Island Life with even more things and quests to do and unlockable things then you have StarNote which is a Lv 1-45 tier thing where you unlock loads of different things leveling up, so again even more things, then you have so much furniture like loads of it, and for same for outfits, and as for animals you've quite a lot their and you can breed them, then you've 2 animals a dog and cat you can buy then a few others you can adopt, you've got a decent size du…

This game checks most of the boxes for me as a farming sim. Pros: Top notch graphics--Sorry, I have had my fill of pixel art. They've made a lovely world that I want to spend time in. The game loop is compelling. Consistent rewards so it has regular dopamine hits. Character customization/outfits are charming. Speaking of outfits, I've just done one festival so far, but you get an outfit if you do well on the jet ski race--it's nice to have festival rewards that you want. Cons: Relationships are so far so shallow. The characters are cute though. The "My time at..." buildling where to make A, you have to first make B, C, and D is a bit much. Totally didn't get the deal with the beach festival crab herding. I hear the publisher isn't so great?

I have had a lot of fun playing starsand island. It's relaxing, peaceful, and feels like a home away from home!
