About Tank Fantastic

Tank Fantastic is an indie arcade game made in 2.5D graphics and Sci-Fi style.
In the game you have to control your own tank and destroy enemy tanks before they destroy you. During the battle, you will collect coins along the way, which you will need to improve the various characteristics of the tank in the store in the menu.
In the arena, you will also encounter destructible walls, behind which there are coins.
Improve the characteristics of the tank, fight in the arena and go to the end!

✦ AI summary

Players report that Tank Fantastic suffers from fundamental design flaws and poor execution, including broken aiming mechanics that make combat feel impossible, a tedious upgrade loop that relies too heavily on dying and grinding coins, and various glitches. Beyond gameplay issues, multiple reviews accuse the game of being an asset flip with uncredited stolen assets, raising concerns about its legitimacy as a genuine game development effort rather than a cash grab.

Uhhhhh... Not so much on the "Fantastic" part. Top down tank game in sort of mild maze areas with some limited destructable terrain. There, that's out of the way. I can see the game that the developers thought they were making. I can. But it's well hidden under some really poor design choices and what I can only assume are unintentional glitches. Sadly, the whole is less than the sum of the parts. The play loop of get blown up and collect a few coins till you can move fast enough to dodge the insta-kill (till you seriously upgrade your health) shots is just not enough. They lean too heavily on the idea of getting killed and upgrading to get to the next level to be any fun. Like I said, I can see where they may have thought they were going. Alas. They did not get there. I mentioned glitches. Yes. Specifically the fact that your health bar rotates with your tank and um... well it stays with the tank but does not seem to know where, in relation to said tank, it wants to be. I can't concieve that this was intentional. So far as poor design choices... There are a few. I won't bore you with to many details but it's never a good idea to put a GUI element, especially a la…
Warning: Asset Flip! Tank Fantastic is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The Russian "developer" paid for/pirated a few asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the Russian asset flipper took an Unreal engine template for a top down shooter, dumped on some asset flipped low poly tanks and a couple of other minimum effort elements to make a garbage mimimum viable product. It has no value or merit as a real game. Neatan Games/Piece Of Voxel have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap…

Don't. Just don't. I paid £0.71 for this 3 years ago but only just got round to trying it out. As far as I can tell, you're supposed to go around and collect coins while an enemy tank tries to kill you, then use the coins to upgrade your tank, rinse and repeat. You have a gun turret, but I haven't found a way to aim it. It's not fixed forward, it's sort of towards the enemy - but not actually at them, that would let you hit them. You do have a sort of barrage shot that sprays projectiles in a direction, but again there doesn't seem to be a way of directing this, and it's on maybe a timer or else it's a one-shot. In any event, it's no help. I fluked one victory to get through to the second level, but that doesn't get you enough points to upgrade anything, and the second level has two tanks shooting you and at that point I lost interest. Maybe I'm just bad at this game, maybe there's something I missed, but there's no tutorial, no instructions, no onscreen hints, so I fumbled around for ten minutes and then decided not to waste any more time on it. I'm only writing this because it currently is priced at over seven quid, and I don't want to risk other people paying that much…

Nope. And there's a glitch: if you die, you can shoot the enemies without entering the arena, without them shooting back.

you cant kill the tanks at all because they have pinpoint accuracy
