Although Ferocious as a game is a good idea. the dev team did not carry out the mission well.

Don't recommend. I was enjoying the same despite being very janky. But barely into it, I found a camp apparently too soon which caused a game breaking bug that I have to reload much earlier to fix so I can get main camp key. Just uninstalling instead. That kind of "Fix" really frustrates me. Poor development!

I'm recommending this game because there's some moments, especially in the first 5 hours or so, that are ♥♥♥♥♥♥' brilliant. But it's like a 2/5 for me dawg ngl. This game had a dope ass demo release 2 summers ago and that ♥♥♥♥ was amazing. It felt like a spiritual successor to a game called Trespasser that came out back in the time of Windows 98. That game was seriously ahead of its time and was a lot of fun with dinosaurs and guns and surviving a tropical island. I replayed it, it was so much fun. And then the final game released and it was cheap! I was super excited to pick up this title. And then I played it. They added about 2 hours or so (at least it felt like that) of content prior to where things pick up from the demo. And then they picked up where they left off a few hours later. There were MULTIPLE sprawling levels designed to be traversed by vehicle, whether it be a mech, a jeep, or a boat. The first boat level with the deep water carnivorous salamanders was PEAK. And the first 30 seconds in the mech was cool. And the first time you mount a Parasaur was cool. And literally every other vehicle level or experience after that fell off so hard. Don't get me wr…

Now that most things have been fixed I can finally write a review. I finished the game fully before the most recent patch so had a few problems but honestly? I had so much fun. I went back in again after the latest patch and things still arent perfect, but theyre definitely enjoyable. The story is exactly what I wanted from a dino game as well as the interactions with different dinos- both friendly and not. You can really enjoy a paleo island when there isnt someone in your ear telling you its janky lol The vibe is there, the story is there, the dinos are there. I had a great time in both my first and second playthroughs. I would have recommended it before the patches and I definitely recommend it now after the patches.

Pretty good for what it is. Yeah it doesn't run great but it's still pretty fun.
