Slams City. Hitler's Escape flaunts itself as a game made by kids, for kids. I just have a hard time believing children aged 8-13 decided to make a game about Hitler and that the same age range of children were the intended audience. There's no doubt that at least one adult was involved, otherwise this game wouldn't have ended up on Steam, but I have to wonder if the adults involved had coerced the children - or perhaps worse, didn't discourage them - because it's such a weird hypothetical topic for kids to be in charge of, where Adolf Hitler may have escaped his demise and has hidden himself somewhere in the city and your character is tasked with tracking him down. Anyway, Slams City. Hitler's Escape is really very bad and the reason of it having been made by children is barely an excuse. The game has several filters over it that make the screen and its graphics incredibly difficult to see, from severe bloom to a heavy oval vignette that brings screen visibility down to nearly half. There are set pieces, such as fire escape staircases, that obscure platforms so I had no idea why I couldn't stand on the stairs until I noticed the very buried-in-the-scenery platforms …4 found this helpful

Characters, level design, graphic design and story were created by young artists." And it shows. Some in-game elements clearly point to this fact, the voice lines sound like children, there's no explicit violence (as far as I could tell) and the puzzles and platforming are pretty simple. There are, however, a few elements I have to question in terms of their inclusion and quality. First, the audio is all over the place. There are volume sliders, but no matter what you set them to, some voice lines are way too low and it took me a while to realize my character was actually talking every now and then, levelling the audio effects would go a long way in fixing this issue. Algonside this, there's no explanation of how anything works or what your mission is, you're just thrown out there. A platformer should be pretty self-explanatory, but then again, if this is intended for younger audiences, you'd want them to understand what is going on. Anoth…2 found this helpful
