About They Always Run

✦ AI summary

They Always Run is a fast-paced action game where you play as a three-armed bounty hunter tracking dangerous criminals across the galaxy while uncovering a conspiracy tied to your past. Your extra limb gives you unique combat advantages, letting you juggle multiple enemies, manipulate the environment, and unleash devastating throws that set it apart from standard beat-em-ups.

The galaxy's inhabitants have been swamped by crime since the fall of the empire. Being able to find anyone, anywhere has become a highly prized skill.

Aiden is a three-armed bounty hunter who must hunt down the most dangerous and elusive cutthroats in the galaxy.

Some bounties are rewarded with money, others with valuable information that Aidan can use to find the people who set him on this path – all while getting embroiled in a galaxy-wide conspiracy.

Having three arms lets you deal with more enemies at once and makes for a persuasive argument in any scuffle. Use your third arm to perform targeted attacks and throws, manipulate the environment, destroy obstacles, and wreck enemies.

Hunt criminals across the fringes of the galaxy, the core worlds, and the ruins of long-gone civilizations. Upgrade your equipment, gain new abilities, grow stronger and destroy anything that stands in your way.

Enjoy a complex story interwoven with high-octane gameplay and full of twists and turns that hit as hard as a bounty hunter's third arm!

All style, no substance. Pros: - Looks good. - Good soundtrack. Cons: - Boring, repetitive and at times frustrating combat. - Simplistic traversal. - Does not register imputs at times.

Love the look and feel of everything. Gameplay is very smooth. Combat mechanics are fun. Having a good time without getting so frustrated I end up rage quitting which is good since I am prone to that.

A cool little indie platformer with some unique game mechanics and clunky but very much solid combat. The narrative and worldbuilding were a definite highlight. I was surprised at how much effort was put into making a believable game universe, and the planet-hopping nature of the plot is something I derived much enjoyment from The story clearly draws inspiration both from sci-fi media and history, and makes for a compelling reason to finish the game. The characters are likeable, and the game absolutely nails the presentation and atmosphere. It's a shame, then, that it ends so abruptly, unfortunately making the game seem rushed. There is also a certain charm to the occasionally broken English. The gameplay is engaging for the most part, with clear progression and a simple but satisfying moveset. The enemy variety does leave a little to be desired, though by the time you get bored of fighting the same bandit types, the story is already over. The boss fights, of which there are a couple, range from sub par to about average. You are often not given much freedom in how to deal damage to them, and one or two drag on a tad longer than I'd have liked. Despite this, my experience is alm…

Do you read comics? Do you like classic platformers? If yes, you're in for a gorgeous fusion of both. Ignore people moaning, you always get that on titles with a unique playstyle. And yet, if it were generic, they'd be the first to review 'meh' It's a total pleasure, only 90 mins in and I know I'm gonna be sad when it ends
A Sci-Fi Bounty Hunt That Never Loses Its Momentum

# 🇺🇸 English **🎮 First Impressions** *They Always Run* grabbed my attention almost immediately. Its blend of fast-paced 2D action, exploration, and a gritty sci-fi setting creates a strong first impression. It doesn't try to reinvent the genre, but it executes its ideas with confidence and keeps the experience engaging from start to finish. --- ## 🔥 Gameplay The combat is easily the game's strongest feature. Aiden's third mechanical arm isn't just a gimmick—it adds meaningful depth to every encounter. Mixing melee attacks, ranged abilities, dodges, and special skills keeps fights fast, satisfying, and surprisingly strategic. Enemy encounters encourage constant movement, and learning how to chain abilities together becomes increasingly rewarding as new upgrades are unlocked. Exploration is equally enjoyable, with hidden upgrades, optional paths, and enough secrets to reward players who like checking every corner. The balance between combat, platforming, and exploration feels natural throughout the adventure. --- ## 🎨 Graphics & Audio The visual presentation is one of the game's bigg…
