parry based, which I suck at :D
First of all, like everything else, my playtime is drastically inflated because I forgot to turn the game off overnight. Oops. Second of all, this game is as blunt as a 20 ton cement hammer, and as subtle as one too. This game hides nothing from you. Not its story, or its mechanics, or its inspirations. And I respect that. I respect it a lot. This game was clearly made by people who understand the games they love, and they used that understanding with plenty of their own flair mixed in to create a masterpiece that stands out more than enough for me to recommend to anyone who thought it might be redundant due to similar games they've already played
like if a man and a woman had a baby
Like many I got into the game because I wanted something to give me the same feeling as Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight Silksong. Naturally I picked this one up with high expectations. Through it all, it shattered those expectations. The characters are real, flawed, and empathetic and the story is tragic in all the perfect ways. The combat is also superb passing both Hollow Knights in that aspects. You won't regret it, I assure you.
