Still Heroes

A great story; it's a linear kinetic novel, but I didn't expect how much interaction I actually would have with the story. Those interactions were pretty cleverly implemented, and definitely a richer experience than just hitting spacebar page after page. From the clicking to the typing, you felt like you were living her life. In that respect, It did a good job driving home the monotony of Emeline's life at times. Interactions were pretty honest and occasionally brutal, which just served to lend more authenticity. I thought the first interaction at the bar with Myriam was rather forced, and they did need to work on building up their interactions a bit more, but it didn't spoil the story. Ending was a bit rushed, but I get the feeling they were going for. I would have liked it to be a bit more interactive there so I could pause and absorb everything that was actually going on in the vignettes, but that might have also been a poignant statement about how fast life goes sometimes when so many things are going on. Interesting. A little too rushed, a little too heavy on melodrama, but I am still glad that I've played it.
