A cool time-management game. It has nice upgrades that add a fair amount of suspense later on. Enjoyed the many hidden details and mechanics there is to discover. Tutorial is a bit busy. In-game tooltips would be a great add.2 found this helpful
Good game but very simple. I think the amount of money the syndicate needs in some cases is too high, the gifts even the large one have a very little effect. Enjoyed my time with it, could do some some more mechanics and or upgrades rather than just buying more of what you have. I think separate from the tutorial, you could add tooltips ingame for the interface buttons.2 found this helpful
The game is basically a multitasking game. You have 4 regions to place harvesters within and a limited number of dropships and spotter drones. You have to deploy as many harvesters as you can without losing track of the worms, and without having your dropships in use when you need them for pickup, while the quotas every mission keep going up. It's very tricky, in a good way1 found this helpful
Lets face it you know exactly which famous scifi novel and various adaptations into games and films) inspired this. And yes, this game focuses on the aspect of that setting which is perhaps the most interesting and most under explored. It absolutely captures the vibe. The good: Strong theme, simple but challenging gameplay, good music. Surprisingly tense. The bad: Game is perhaps too challenging to begin with, especially with the learn through failure style. While upgrades and more units really increase the fun of the game, you don't really unlock anything special or interesting to alter the gameplay loop much beyond the basic "do I have enough carriers for my excavators" question. No thumpers, new units etc. Overall I do recommend if the theme appeals. Id love to see the game expanded more with a story, customisation, or a slightly less knife edge campaign lol.
Addicted to this game already. Managing daily cash flows, mining in a hostile environment that creates high intensity as you try to maximize your equipments' production in bad weather and avoid hostile local fauna, trying to stay solvent but not TOO successful ... can play for a few minutes or settle in for repeated attempts to keep your company afloat for at least a few days. And great graphics and robust gameplay. Just frustratingly fun!
A fun and challenging economic game, that is easy to learn but hard to master. Each day is challenging, and can come down to the wire with how many minerals you mine before day end, or a worm eats you. I would highly recommend if this is your cup of tea. It's also a steal of a deal for the price!
