For anyone unaware of what this game is you're playing desert bus but you additionally have to type an entire novel out while doing so, my playthrough with 0 pauses took around 3 hours 46 minutes. Do not under any sane circumstances, attempt to finish this game it is bluntly: borderline torture. i do think that's the entire point of the game, it very much echoes the stories descent into despair and numbness; the novel within is actually super interesting, it explores themes of humanity and slowly becoming inhumane through the pursuit of immortality, i do wish there were a copy of it that existed outside of the game, its a great read. This game is very VERY deliberately cruel, spoiler warning in case you for whatever godforsaken reason want to try this game [spoiler] the game lies to you, every so often it throws you a bone, a chapter number, starting with 1/9 the goalpost is set, and you're off, some chapters longer than others, and after much time you arrive at 9/9, and then your heart drops, the game continues, 10/9, 11/9, 12/9... you start to despair, thankfully it is only 13 chapters but man, that is a horrible gut punch to do right at the end, but to make matters worse, the…

this is horrible and i must return to finish it. my shoulder hurts and its been a day. i'm tempted to launch it again but those first thirty minutes were so rough. as it keeps going it gets more draining, eventually i found myself crying as i typed. there is a fine line between masochism and self-harm. i will come back to this. i will read the rest of the story. i need to know how it ends. ok i came back to it and i gotta say it was great. heavily recommend tapping if you need to and coming back - its a lot easier the second time around and the prose is worth re-reading. i had a blast with this one, love the aesthetics, the constant oh ♥♥♥♥ i forgot about the wheel. had some close calls near the end & honestly thought there would be more when i got to it. It's a marathon, go in expecting it to take a while, don't rush, enjoy the scenery. if you try to power through it you'll break yourself.

i took an edible and played this game and had a spiritual experience that i will have to divulge in a big video about everything i played this year. cruel and evil and amazing, unlike anything else i've experienced to the point that i want to play it again even if i could read the book as a pdf. easily top five games i've played this year. there are a bunch of typos in the script with regards to spacing but in some ways i found myself appreciating them. talia is a rare generational talent and all eyes should be on whatever the heck she makes forever
