Under the Sand REDUX - a road trip simulator sends you across a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland in a customizable pickup truck to complete your father's final wish, with hundreds of kilometers of procedurally generated roads, points of interest, and the freedom to forge your own path. Assemble, maintain, and tune nearly every component of your vehicle while managing fuel, water, and character needs in a physics-driven exploration experience with no combat, just pure driving and discovery.

The game is great. It is chill and atmospheric. A lot of these road trip games have a goofy sort of art style or humour that puts me off them, but Under The Sand looks and feels fantastic. The low poly style is very evocative, the gameplay loop is fun and the driving physics are satisfying. Dev also keeps updating it. Well worth supporting!
UNDER the SAND - a road trip simulator turns a lonely drive through an alternative 1980s wasteland into an atmospheric mixture of vehicle maintenance, survival, scavenging, and procedural exploration. Developed and published by IndieMax, it takes place in a world devastated by extreme global warming, where civilization has largely disappeared beneath an expanding desert. The player's journey begins with an old pickup truck and a personal objective connected to fulfilling a deceased father's final request. From there, the game largely avoids conventional storytelling structures and allows the road, the vehicle, and the increasingly isolated environment to become the heart of the experience. The journey unfolds across procedurally generated stretches of road rather than a traditional handcrafted open world. Highways, rough terrain, intersections, and branching routes create uncertainty about what might appear beyond the next horizon. Various points of interest break up the otherwise empty landscape, giving players reasons to stop, investigate abandoned locations, search for useful items, and collect junk. Stores provide opportunities to sell unwanted discoveries and acquire supplies…
